Stolen Lands: P14 map: What kinds of Terrain?

I know this may have been answered elsewhere.

On Page 14 of Stolen lands there is a map of the Greenbelt.

On this map i see three distinct colorings. There is a deep dark green of the Narlmarches, which is obviously Forrest. to the north there is a light green which has Olegs Trading Post.

What kind of terrain is that?

Then a couple of hexes to the south of Oleg's trading post, begins a different colored hex, a yellow green kind of hex. I see to the south that the Kamelands are written.

What kind of Terrain is in these yellow green hexes?

Thank you.

The lighter colour in the north is plains while the darker colour in the south is hills.

From various James Jacobs responses:

The terrain types are not labeled. The light green is plains, the medium green with the bumps in it is hills, and the dark green is forest.

The plains are pretty open, with grass and isolated copses of trees.

The hills, on the other hand, have more trees. They're not totally covered, but trees should be pretty common in the hills. They're just not so dense that they're non-stop forest.

Left to Right:
Glenebon Uplands
The Slough
The Greenbelt
The Nomen Heights

Thank you this is very helpful. Last week, my group made their characters, and at the end they took care of some trouble at Oleg's.

Tomorrow the second week of the game, they will begin exploring. light green= plains, medium green= hills. this has been very helpful thank you.

I have four players at the table. Just the right number for me. I do expect the group to sometimes drop to 2 players.

To help forestall this, i have encouraged my players to make Gestalt characters.

I have a 1/2 elven Sorcerer/ alchemist who failed his test in Hermea and has fled about as far as he can from that land, with out going off the map into Obaria.

I have a 1/2 orc Cleric / bard who will either be following Cayden Caylin or Desna

I have a human Kellid Barbarian/ Druid with a bear.

and I have a female Tiefling (from Rakshasha blood) Fighter/Rogue, who will be working towards making a "deuling" type character.

It should be interesting.
