De-cluttering focus

Website Feedback

I have one suggestion for keeping the focus page less cluttered.

If the user has closed a forum on the main page using those disclosure triangles, that means they're genuinely not interested in reviewing new threads from those forums. I think they should be culled from the focus view.

I still find my way to active threads in those forums using the sidebar, which is good enough for me.

Consider it!

Also, I acknowledge that this might be one of those features I ask for and yet Gary has already implemented... that happens way too often. But it looks like it doesn't do that right now...

If you've closed a subforum, none of the threads should be showing up in the sidebar, either.

I've gone back and forth on removing threads from focus if you've collapsed the forum. I landed on the side of implementing the "remove this thread from focus" widget on the far right.

As long as we're talking about Focus hocus pocus, my wish would be to allow the use of focus on certain subforums but not on others. In particular, I like using focus on the Play-by-Post and Play-by-Post Out of Character subforums but not on others, so I have to keep clicking on Focus/Defocus to turn it on and off.
