"I no likeses food tha talks!"
"That's why you kills it first, dum-dum!" says a passing goblin.
Velag Wordeater
"Me looks at map again - it not upside-down today. Must be magic. Anyhow, we go that way." *points*
"Tark! You supposed to go first! Let's go before firebooms get stealed!"
GM Goblin King
With your fun new fireworks in hand, you set out to get even more (on July 4th, no less!).
Tark takes the lead, confident in his leadership abilities because he doesn't have to make any decisions! Velag has the map, and has no trouble using it to guide your journey. Bucko is next, with Klepy trailing at the rear of the group.
The weather is decent, if a bit chilly in the morning, and you make good time going along the south side of the creek going west, sometimes having to go around swampy areas, go over fallen logs, etc.
I'll assume you're all 10-20' apart at any time, unless I'm told otherwise. Are all the fireworks distributed among you?
GM Goblin King
You come to a muddy, shallow tributary that flows out of a bog just to the south. Crossing it is no problem, but Tark needs to make a perception check.
Since it's a holiday, we may have to pick this up later. Enjoy!
Klepy
Klepy will take the fire works no one else will. "Hehe, more boomy tings for Klepy." Suddenly Klepy looks suspiciously at his foot. Remembering what Bucko told him, he quickly eats a mouth full of dirt.
"Burp! There foot no catches burnsie anymores today."
Tark Bashflat

This is fine, except whenever there is any kind of diverging path whether it be a crossroad or a bunny trail. Tark will stop and turn back waiting for the others to catch up so he can quietly seek guidance on which way to go. Tark is also quick to charge at any type of concealed furry movement nearby in the dense vegetation, so its possible a few squirrels get unintentionally flattened on the way. Each time Tark will remark on how it looked like it might have been a leg of Lotzlegs.
Perception check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
GM Goblin King
Tark keeps the party safe from all the dangerous squirrels, and even manages to flatten himself some handy squirrel roll-ups, a great snack for goblins on the go.
You are all about 40' south of the creek, on a trail that crosses a tributary about 15' wide and 1' at the deepest.
Tark gets there first, and sees an object in the cloudy water that looks vaguely like a rock, moving quickly towards him. It will be at his feet in 1 round. The rest of you are too far back to see it through the foliage, and are all within 25' of him.
init: Bucko, Klepy, Tark, Velag
Tark Bashflat
Tark is so fascinated by the moving rock he stands there and stares at it, completely forgetting about his current mission. Somewhere in the back of his small brain he has a conversation with himself. "Tark never see rocks move before. Maybe it floating rock. Tark never see rocks float before. Must be some moving floating rock Tark never hear of before. Maybe it make good gift for Chief. Me get rock for Chief!"
If anyone moves forward they will see that Tark has likely stopped, has slung his earthbreaker over his shoulder and is looking down with his arms stretched out downwards -- assuming he had time to do this.
Tark Bashflat
Tark will delay his turn.
As a free action Tark will respond to Bucko: "Me not fish. Getting rock."
Still entranced by the 'floating' rock, Tark can't help but to notice the significant ripples in the water caused by the wake of the rock. A thought occurs to Tark that floating things don't move that quickly. Confused and uncertain though, Tark considers his options... but it is such a neat looking rock...
GM Goblin King
The "rock" comes closer, and now that it's coming out of the water, you see that it's translucent and jelly-like, with bits of decomposing fish and small animals suspended inside its amorphous, blob-like mass. It's about 3' wide, but elastic, and moves strangely, right up to Tark.
Bucko and Klepy are right next to Tark now, and can act before the creature does.
GM Goblin King
Klepy's attack did no sneak damage, since the thing wasn't sneakable, but it splatters nicely and dies, all the same, its digestive acid goo slowly running into the little stream.
Without further ado, you continue on your trip, your goblininess charming all the creatures of the forest, as bluebirds and chipmunks accompany you in delightful songs.
Well, actually, no. You're maybe 20 minutes away from your destination and must all make perception checks, again.
Velag Wordeater
"Nice poke, Klepy! Now we gets the food blob-thing carried.!
As Velag continues the walk, he'll get annoyed with the chattering chipmunks and bluebirds, progressing down this list:
"Be quiet, food! We on mission!"
"Me say stop!"
"Me knows you understand me! Me eated a Gnome!"
"Not make me judge you!"
"You more talkie than a bag full of Halflings!"
After that, Velag will mutter to himself about the Gnome having worn off.
Perception---> 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
GM Goblin King
Velag's check is good enough.
Velag:
Klepy:
GM Goblin King
Tark sees the webs in front of him, spanning the trail and then some.
This is clearly the work of a big arachnid, and Tark's check was good enough to note that up in the canopy, about 30' directly above him, is the biggest freakin' spider he's ever seen. It slings a big wad of webbing, not at Tark, but at Velag, and covers him in sticky strands.
It then moves along in the canopy, heading east, and pauses, its disturbingly large multiple eyes focusing on all of you, Klepy in particular.
Klepy
I assume Klepy sees it then. Oh and sorry about the profile thing, it's up now
Klepy stares and the spider and notices it's fangs. Suddenly the sunlight glints off of them. Assuming there's sunlight now Klepy stares in fascination at the shiny fangs.
Fascination: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
GM Goblin King
Klepy! NOOOOOOOOOO! XD
init: K, B, LEGBM, V, T. Str. or escape artist check, Velag.
Longlegs is about 30' above Klepy, now, and you're all 5' from each other along the trail. Everyone sees the creature, all glisten-y and stuff.
Klepy
Here's initiative for the ADD Goblin:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
He's stuck for at least two rounds. I follow how I made my characters to a T and if Klepy dies then it was his fault not mine. If I were in his shoes, I wouldn't be standing there.......oh wait, I'm ADD also, maybe I would? Oh look, a shiny coin. Ooo Shiny.
GM Goblin King
The webbing ignites, burning away slowly through the canopy, but burns away too quickly to ignite anything else. The spider fires another web at Bucko, but just misses. It climbs partway down, to about 15' over the ground, extending its forelegs menacingly at Klepy.
Velag gets himself out of the mess, and has a move action left, then Tark goes.

What round are we on?
Tark Bashflat
Looking very disappointed that he can't smack the spider with his prized maul, Tark unclips a hammer from his belt and chucks it upward, followed by a very loud, "Harrruuuuu!!!!"
Light Hammer (thrown): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Damage: 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Tark appears a little shaken as he watches his hammer bounce off a tree no where close to the spider and disappear into to dense vegetation.
Edit: Whoops, I just noticed I went before Velag's remaining move action. Sorry.
GM Goblin King
What round are we on?
I remember now! You saw the webs, but not the spider. The spider was hiding (beat your checks), and moved after it webbed Velag. That was a surprise round for spidey, then I rolled initiative for all.
I shouldn't have said Tark saw it before it shot the web. You all saw it after that. I think that's what was confusing. Sorry. We just finished round 1. Velag moved and Tark missed.
Out-of-order posts don't bother me, like we had with the wolves. It was obvious what Velag was going to do, so after Tark's slaying of the wolf, we could move on. Maybe Velag might not be back for a while, but we could get on with the story.
SO, we continue with K, B, LEGBM, V and T.
GM Goblin King
Yes. The spider shot a web, blowing its cover, then moved, and everyone saw it. I could have just said that in the first place! Apologies.
Bucko Rackingclaw
"Keepses Klepy from being spider snack, now spider must comeses down o shoot webses, we keepses out o webses an I burnses his webses if he trieses tah comeses down on our headses."
Also moves back a bit further so to be out of web range....
Light crossbow
attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Ok never copy and paste a roll It duplicates the same numbers!...
I will roll in a different post!
GM Goblin King
So the question is: is this a round in which Velag can act, or is he still chewing on the webs?
Velag can act. The spider got its surprise round, then Velag broke free (standard) and got his move action in the first (non-surprise) round. He can act normally on his turn in this round (round 2).
Velag Wordeater
Spiffy!
Ok, I'll wait for the spider's action before doing something - I don't mind out-of-turn in response to the party, but I do like to react to the opponent.
GM Goblin King
OK. Klepy went first, marvelling at the spider's lovely fangs. Bucko fired and missed, then moved back to just behind Velag.
The spider's plan for an easy meal hasn't worked well at all, and in desperation, it fires back at the thing that fired at it, but targeting Velag, and again misses (horribly!). What should be 2 or 3 squirming morsels are moving much too easily to risk getting close, yet. LEGBM is mindless, but not suicidal.
Velag, then Tark.
Velag Wordeater
Velag sneers up at the spider, "You want eat us? We be goblins! You be food!"
Move action: Activate Copycat
"Me so hungry me eat you twice!"
Velag will take a 5' step to try to keep the range to the spider closer to (but under) 50' to try to keep out of web-spitty range, but also maintain a clear line of sight.
He'll then attack with the sling he readied last round.
Sling attack roll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
"Hey! There still sticky stuff on sling! Stupid stickies. That it. Now you make mad! Me splash you!"
He'll drop his sling with a free action.
GM Goblin King
Tark hits the spider, which hisses angrily, and the hammer falls to the ground in Klepy's square.
Round 3!
Klepy
Klepy shakes his fascination as the hammer falls at his feet. An evil grin creeps across Klepy's face. "Klepy wants dose shiny tings." He says in a very low and eerie gurgley voice. Klepy will try and disappear.
Stealth: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (14) + 17 = 31
Then Klepy will draw Big Sticky (A shorsword) from it sheathe and hold it in his teeth. He will then climb the tree nearest to LostLegs.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
This may take a couple of rounds so I'll wait and see what happens before I go any further with Klepy. Stupid goblin is gonna get himself killed. *sigh* What am I going to do with him?
