One of the greats has left us. Thanks for all the great comics--Tomb of Dracula, the run on Dr Strange, Howard the Duck....

He was one of the great ones. All of the books that John mention, I have the complete runs on. They were some of my favorite books during my teenage years. My condolences to his friends and family. R.I.P. Gene Colan, you will be missed.
His 'Tomb of Dracula' was amazing stuff. I read the hell out of those. Beautiful work. RIP
RIP Gene - His artwork was indeed "art" and he really helped push comics to be taken seriously with the detail and storytelling of his illustrations. Sadly missed but leaves a great legacy in the amazing comics he gave us.
