Initial Con Problems

PaizoCon General Discussion

First, I'm able to type this because there's not much else to do. It looks like Pickup Games are in some weird new format which doesn't place them in a single room. Pretty sure it did last year. As such, I have nowhere to wait for a game--one could start anywhere. Or something. As I said, it's weird, and I don't get it.

Second, there are no longer any nice schedules. Last year there were, and they were very helpful. I hear that the Gamers movies are playing, but I have no idea where.

These two changes have proven a real inconvenience. Not a great start to this year's Con. :/

There's a detailed schedule in your swag bag. I overlooked it, too, at first.

Interesting, the schedule is the first thing I found in the SWAG bag. <shrug>

Hopefully you've talked to a Paizo employee in person about this and they've pointed you in the right direction. :)

Doesn't look like I got that schedule, unless you mean the one showing MY events. Or a Wayfinder, incidentally, but that's alright, as my brother got one.
Where could I find one? I appreciate the help. I haven't the first clue where to find a proper knowledgy person.

On a completely unrelated note, what's the protocol for being late? My brother, who's usually very careful about such things, forgot to set his alarm clock and came to his game half an hour late. They kicked him out.

Meanwhile, a player in my game never even showed up, and the GM was planning on letting him in whenever he arrived.
If it matters, my game found a sub, so that might have stifled any resentment.

Any Paizo staff you see should be able to get you hooked up with a program. (Even me!) They'll end up directing you to the registration area, and the folks at the desk there will get you one.

Oh, and I hope it is me you run into because I'd like to meet you in person finally. That's the best part about PaizoCon for me. I have slightly fewer eyeballs and tentacles than in my picture, if that helps.

Most con games follow a "15 minute rule" for late players. If you're 15 minutes late, you lose your spot, and another player can jump in. Of course, if there's nobody there to fill your slot, some GMs will let you jump in late (though it's often a pain to spend limited game time on catching up a late player).
