Okay so I have read somewhere can't find it right now that people have mentioned as the spell mentions that " Nothing can pass through the sphere, inside or out, though the subject can breathe normally" So can you use dimension door or teleport to leave the sphere?
I don't have the appropriate books at hand. IIRC, dim door and teleport both make use of travel off the material plane. Astral? If the travel is not on the material plane, the sphere shouldn't stop it. If the travel is in the material plane, it does stop it. (All this assumes you're on the material, if not, substitute as needed.)

Now the resilient sphere though would keep out an ethereal creature because it is a force effect right?
Yes. Force effects extend into the ethereal plane from the material, or from other planes that are coexistent with the ethereal. Force also stops incorporeal creatures. What, precisely, is coexistent with the ethereal may vary from game world to game world.
I'm fairly certain dimension door and teleport bypass it. Incorporeal doesn't.
If D door /teleport didn't work it'd be the equivalent of dimension lock. Otherwise resilient sphere would be the perfect demon holding case.
Basically anything that's needs line of effect, like fireball, is effectively blocked. Please note line of effect and line of sight are two different things.
Telekinetic sphere is just an upgraded resilient sphere with the ability to move it.
