Hey there all,
I'd appreciate any advice for getting to the hotel for no more than $20 as that's about all I'm going to have to work with until Friday morning. Does anyone know if the buses run that late? I tried to jump on the taxi/shuttle-sharing thread, but I guess my arrival time doesn't fit with anyone, so am trying to see what other options I can find aside from waiting around in the airport til Fri. morning when pay comes in.
Thanks for any advice/pointers,
Gembar

What time does your flight get in? It looks like the last bus from the airport to Bellevue leaves at 12:50 a.m., and then service resumes at about 5 a.m. You'd need a 560 to the Bellevue transit center, then either walk from there or catch a 230 bus toward Redmond for about half a mile. Here's a link to Metro Transit's Trip Planner; Google Maps' bus directions are fairly accurate as well.
Another handy tool: One Bus Away has realtime information on bus arrival times, accessible both over the phone and online.

From the Bus link, it looks like the last 560 bus leaves Sea-Tac 5 minutes before you land. Closest on the google doc is Robyn Nixon, 40 minutes earlier, but two isn't enough to split a cab down to $20.
Robyn is also your closest on the departure (4pm instead of 5:30pm) on Sunday.
Edit: Thanks for those details Judy! I was just trying to figure out which Bus Stop was the right one.
I was looking HERE and only see a bus at 11:24 p.m... Trip Planner for 6/9/11 at 11:30 p.m. uses a complex 2.5 hour trip using route 599.

Oof, you're right—the last 560 is at 11:24. Google Maps thinks you could catch the light rail from the airport into the International District at 12:39 and then catch a 280 into Bellevue from there, but at that rate, you're rolling into Bellevue at 2:30 a.m., which may or may not be preferable to staying at the airport.

I signed up for shuttle express - it's 19.00 each way. Are you looking for less that 20 bucks total? You can charge this, by the way, not that I'm promoting deficit spending...
Held off as long as I could looking for commute partners, so tonite I make my shuttle express reservations.
Looks like I might have caught the last regularly scheduled shuttle of the night out from the airport, so I hope my plane isn't late (I would be very upset).

Shuttle Express runs 24-hours, so if you miss the scheduled shuttle, they'll put you on the next one. Even a walk-up reservation should be honored, even if you have to wait a while for the next van your way.
Ah!! That is most good to know!!
Thanks Mark (I'm guessing you had to use them a few times! :) )
