Homebrew and House Rules

These are some homebrew rules I've been working on. This is just the first 10 pages, I'm working on most of the creature types right now.

Please let me know what you think. I'm worried it's underpowered...

Even if it had the hitting power of a wet sock, there will still be people screaming it is overpowered :P

URL'D!

Not quite sure about the power level; first thing I noticed was d12 HD, full BAB, 6+ skills, and Good saves for everything. Perhaps the class abilities are underwhelming, so maybe it's not so great.

You should have heard the screaming and rantinf in the forums about my Pseudodragon PC.

None of the dire predictions and over the top gnashing of teeth has borne out in actual gameplay.

The lack of flexibility in equipment is a massive drawback, size can be problematic, roleplaywise there are a ton of issues...

There's a lot of problems with playing a Dragon that people dont think through before they start complaining.

Draconomicon also has a section on playing Dragons, I'd have a peruse.

On first glance it looks like you get a fairly large dragon straight out of the box on your rules, ie frightful presence from the start.

Dunno about that.

I reckon it should be more an 'accelerated growth program' starting them as Small Dragons.
