Hi There,
Just a quick question - if Elysium(sp?) is prepared for the characters when they enter the cathedral she is invisible and has cast "Shield of Faith".
As per the invisibility spell light is always visible - so would the aura from the aforementioned spell be visible for the characters to see? Or is the aura hidden (and if so why)?
Thanks

Invisibility: "Light, however, never becomes invisible, although a source of light can become so (thus, the effect is that of a light with no visible source). Any part of an item that the subject carries but that extends more than 10 feet from it becomes visible."
Shield of Faith: "This spell creates a shimmering, magical field around the target that averts and deflects attacks."
My interpretation of the shield of faith visual effect is that it would look something like seeing gas fumes passing between you and a person standing at a distance. It's not really light, per se, so much as a visual distortion of an existing object - so once invisibility makes that object disappear, the shimmering effect is gone, too.
However, this is really up to interpretation by the GM. If you truly feel that this combination is illogical, you could always give the PCs a bonus on their Perception check to determine which square Erylium is in while both spells are in effect.
