Error on Lepidstadt Courthouse map

Does anyone else see how this map is in error?

Map Spoiler:
On the gallery level, A22, there is no way this level matches up with the stairs and courtroom as shown on the lower levels. The stairs are 10' away from where they should be on the lower level. Are they trying to account for the slope of the gallery? Or should the stairs and the last row of benches in the lower level not be visible? It's easy enough for me to say the gallery is just shifted over to the right 10'. I'm just wondering how it's really intended to look.

*shrug*

It's a non-combat area, so why does the specifics of the map matter? I always just viewed those as useful for "general layout." You'll notice that the courtroom map doesn't match the courtroom picture (the one with the beast in the cage) at all. I'll be changing my courthouse to match the art, myself. And that means no balcony to worry about ;-)

The balcony should extend 10 feet over the lower level, so the stairs and back row of benches on the lower level should not be visible.

Not necessarily correct.

Plot spoiler:
In the event of Day Two (Night): Mob Justice on pages 40-42, combat can very well include the courthouse. The mob's tactics are to attack the courthouse and gain entry with portable rams, ladders, and firebombs. Combat is very likely to spill into the interior given the number of entrances, the size of the mob, and most parties' hesitance to use lethal force (fireballs and the like).

I assume that was the reason for including the map in the first place, space being a premium and all in these things. The building is labyrinthine and would offer several interesting vantages and defensible locations should things come to it.


There are other errors on the map:

They were discussed early on in the release, but the event alluded to above tells you where the flaming skulls are to spawn and those spawn locations aren't on the map.

Obviously not a big problem, but if we're talking about mapping errors . . .
