Smartphone apps for Gamers?

Technology

My current mobile phone contract expires on tuesday, so i'm going to get a new phone - currently undecided between finally joining the Cult of the iPhone, or getting a windows/android phone. one way or the other, though, I will be getting a smartphone

my question is, are there any usefull "gamer apps" out there - like a dice-roller-type thing?

I have Dice Bag as a dice roller and the Pathfinder Spell Compendium for Android both are free and without ads

One thing to note about Android phones. Android phone storage tends to be divided betwen an SD card and a much smaller amount of main memory. While many programs will install to the SD card and run of of it happily, a lot will either not relocate or have to be on the main drive for various technical reasons. It doesn't make them unworkable but it's one of the quirks you have to live with.

But to actually answer your question, both platforms have dice rollers aplenty.

The most gamer-y app I have on my smartphone is a Magic: The Gathering tracking app, so I don't think I can help much with the question you have. I can say this, though: you will not regret owning a smartphone.

Summoner

There is also an app for animal companions from the same person that did the Summoner app.

Scott Seligman has an excellent Android app called "Spells" that, despite its name, includes feats, monsters, rules, classes, etc. All can be marked for easy reference. The app costs $0.99, but it's small, stable, and so far functions marvelously for me.

Pathfinder Adventure, Adventure Path, Lost Omens Subscriber

Not actually an app, but I use google reader to keep track of Paizo staff rss feeds. It reads well on iPhone and keeps me informed of Pathfinder developments.
