...and looking for game. I'm wondering if any Pathfinder or Deadlands groups in the area have room for one more player? Or if anyone can at least recommend some good local game stores.

A little bit west of you....
A hundred feet west of the corner of Sterling Rd and Davie Road Extension, on Sterling Rd. (north side), is a Shopping complex.
Inside the complex is Adventure Game Store -- run by the best LGS owner I've known, Brian Dalrymple (across the nearly-2 dozen cities I've lived in over the years).
There are a number of Pathfinder games you can find out about there. My old friend Mike probably has a game or two. Ditto with my old friend Karyn. However, a group of my buddies is just now starting a new Campaign there. Tom and Robin are going to be hosting a new game -- maybe give the store your email or number -- tell 'em Ray says "Hey" -- and "Long time, no see."
And hey, this summer I may actually get back down there for a short visit; if I do I'll stop by and say "Hey."
