Just found this masterpiece of a game in the GiantITP forums.
...I stumbled across what may be the greatest roleplaying system of all time; a homebrewed system which came out of 4chan's /tg/ board. Dungeons: The Dragoning is a balls-to-the-wall crazy system which is essentially a chimera of D&D, WoD and 40K, jam packed with references and asides to practically every aspect of traditional gaming there is.
You can find the PDF here.
It's Rifts 2.0 if it was written in the fever dreams of some kind of neckbeard deity, and that? That is awesome. I am actually seriously considering running this, and it's exploding on /tg/ at this very moment. I recommend downloading it and at least giving it a read.

Ah, ok, didn't notice this thread. So yeah, over the top, a fun read in some ways. But daaang, the person wrote this... he had too, too, too much time on his hand.
Didn't he say he was a freelance game designer? Completing and maintaining an ambitious project like that gives one serious cred - and probably looks good on the CV. The fact alone that he managed to mash up concepts, mechanics and fluff from so many different places and achieve something that looks almost coherent helps too. I haven't played it yet, but if it actually IS playable this would be an even more impressive feat.

Version 1.3 has recently been released, you can follow the developments at http://lawfulnice.blogspot.com/.
Note that while the versions are 1.X now, it is still strongly a WiP at this point imo. Still, so far things look promising.

Thread resurrection! So, has anyone played this? I have the core "book" and the second "book", and from some buddies who did a few games it sounds like a pretty solid system, easily workable and expandable.
As much as I love the game, I don't think anyone's ever actually played this. Okay, that's a lie, I know for a fact that some people have actually played it, but most people probably just appreciate it for what it is: a gonzo kitchen sink of concepts and ideas from a number of different RPGs, released primarily as a joke.
Although I'd love to play it, I'm happy to just know that this thing exists. Sort of like how I'm happy knowing that World of Synnibarr exists, with its crazy stupid mechanics and bears with eye-lasers and stuff, but would probably never actually volunteer to play the game out of fear of the mystique being shattered if I actually had to interact with the game's rules.
