Looking for at least one extra player for a Pathfinder campaign currently on hiatus because we lost one of our players recently.

We generally play on Friday evenings about 3 times a month from 7 to 10/11pm but are flexible on schedule.

Game is located in the northeast side of Modesto.

If interested please email me:

Hey Adam--

I know this isn't a perfect answer, but your local Bay Area Pathfinder Group holds Pathfinder Society games near you in Tracy.

It's possible that there might be some crossover if you want to ask the group.

Outside of that, maybe you want to come out and play PFS at Kublacon.

Rock on

I've never done any Pathfinder Society play, was kind of interested in it too.

I might have to check it out, thanks for the heads up.

Hey Adam,

I live in Stockton, and we just started the Tracy group Painlord mentioned with a couple from Modesto (strangely Tracy worked out for all of us better). We'd love to see more people at our PFS games, There are a lot of 1st and 2nd level characters in our group right now so it's a good time to hop in!

You're talking about the organized play with registered characters, right?

Interesting, there is another group based in the Modesto area. My group meets on Wednesday nights just Northwest of Modesto. They played a greatly modified 1e game before I convinced them to play Pathfinder.

Yes PFS is Paizo's Organized Play.

Registering is pretty easy, you can do it on the site or I bring some cards with me.

Well if you know any other players that want in on a Friday night game let me know, and also if you need another player for your game I'd love to not be a GM for Pathfinder for once (I feel like I'm the only person in Modesto that prefers PF to 4e sometimes >.<)

And Ogre would you be okay with a newbie coming to check it out one of these nights?

Our group is *mostly* newbies. One more is a welcome addition.

Most are new to PFS, some are new to PFRPG, some are new to gaming entirely.

If you are going to show up it would be helpful if you Registered on Warhorn. Walk-ins are ok but it's a little more manageable if you pre-reg.

Which thing is it that I should be registering for?

Most likely Penumbral Accords (2-11) the other module is for 5-9th level characters. You could play a pregen in that game but you wouldn't be able to use that session for credit in later events.

Dark Sasha you are more than welcome to join us in Tracy also. We have 3-4 lady gamers who are constantly scheming to get the female:male ratio in their favor.

I am pretty sure my gang are not interested in another game, but I'll mention it to them. As for another person, I have to say that I am already at my limits with my 9 players. These guys have been playing together for 30+ years, some of them. I am the newbie, with 5+ years playing with them. I lucked out getting in with these guys and they have become my friends. I don't think they would allow another unknown in to play with us. And frankly my brain might explode with 10 players anyway.

Thanks for the invite, but Tracy is just too far for me to travel as I don't live in Modesto, but far to the south. Besides I spent way too much money trying to get in on RPGA events years ago. I am not that interested in organized play these days.

Oh wow, if I knew you had that many players I wouldn't have asked. I don't my groups get bigger than six.

And if any of your players are interested in joining a new campaign have them shoot me an email

Yeah, sorry Adam if I wasn't much help. I was just amazed that anyone else was playing Pathfinder in Modesto area, much less actually reading these forums.

Well the couple we game with play with their teen-aged kids and I think some friends and they are in Modesto, we're in stockton and have a group and I know there are at least a couple other groups local. I suspect there are more in the area than you think.

What I wouldn't give to magically find and organize all the different Bay Area Pathfinder players.

Sadly, I don't know how to do that just...yet. ::evil laugh::

That is totally how I feel all the time. As far as I'm concerned most of the pen and paper gamers in the 209 are all World of Darkness and 4E. I hope I can get this game off the ground sometime soon.

Or maybe *crosses fingers* find a campaign to join.

Shameless bump!

Hey Adam, did you fill your empty seat? I've got a few empty seats in my pathfinder home brew south of Modesto.
I'm amazed there are so few gamers in the Central Valley. (I recently moved out here from the Bay Area)

Hello all I need to read everything in this thread

But we run an RPG every Friday in Manteca we have lost two players in the last month looking for another few

We are a range of people two college students a highschool teacher and a cop ranging from 23 to 45

Very calm and casual game

Ussually we play pathfinder running Second Darkness but when we are short we have been picking up other games (Hunter the Vigil, Hero Systems, Deathwatch and anything else we feel like)

always looking for new players

I'll ask around my group. We have six players who meet every other week, some of them might want to jump ship or something.

If nothing else, consider joining us for PFS on the first and third Thursday at Kings in Tracy. It looks like there is a pretty fair chance our Thursday games will be moving even a bit closer to you soon.

Sadly, Kings is shutting down as of the end of this month. If you appreciated the shop in the past you might want to swing by and buy some stuff. Might be some bargains to be had also.

Yer all to far for me, I live in Sacramento T.T wonder if there is anyone closer to me, I also just moved here so I'm very new to the area.

There was a group in Sac, not sure if they fell apart or what. I know a guy who drives to Concord for games from West Sacramento.

Yo Deiros, Ogre-

There is a fine, decently active set of Pathfinders in Sacto.

Sacto Area Pathfinder

Deiros, While you're at it, you should join the Bay Area Pathfinder Group. We coordinate more than a few local cons there...and it's close enough.

Let me know of you have questions.

Yeah I can think of some later on when I'm not that drunk but thanks Painlord ^^

I would also like to see a PBP for legend of the five rings or if someone plays it in sacramento, I have read the main book and it looks VERY DEADLY.

Thanks for the offer but with me being a single dad I need to game at my house.

With you guys losing the Tracy shop I hear the Stockton Shop cardboard heroes over off hammer has Society play now

That's a though choice been there for a moment and I get ya.

I'm not THAT interested in society play right now, I just want to play a regular homebrew or AP with pathfinder. In addition to finding someone that plays legend of the 5 rings I have been very curious about this system and setting.

Thanks for the heads up. If you can let us know where you move your games, I would appreciate it as well as others who might be entertaining the notion to join.

Sounds great ^^ well I live in South Sacramento it's not like super close but it's not that far of a drive I suppose, I could try it out.

My brother and I have been trying to run a Pathfinder campaign in Gustine (central valley) for the past year. We're currently level 7 (fast advancement), but since there's no one in Gustine who plays we're thinking about taking our show in the road.
Goes anyone know anyone looking to join an ongoing homebrew game?

The Exchange Contributor, RPG Superstar 2010 Top 16

If you don't mind making the drive to Manteca on Thursday nights we have a regular PFS game on the first and third Thursdays at 6:30pm.

I might be interested. My own home group is in flux atm and Gustine is a straight shot for me on Hwy 140. I just have to find the time to make the drive and that time isn't going to be very available probably till after the holiday season.

As for Manteca, that is a more significant drive but only twice a month may make that doable.

Keep me in mind, gentlemen. Please send me contact information and I'll flag it. Email: sharrasfire (at) sbcglobal (dot) net

We are at a place called Alluring Treasures, it's on Union near the RR tx. We meet the first and third Thursday nights at 6pm, love to see you.

Edit: Oops, we don't meet every Thursday, just the first and third.

Seeing as the holidays are upon us, I'm scouting for a new location in, around, and near Gustine, Santa Nilla, Los Banos (a.k.a. central valley). Does anyone have any recommendations?

You should probably start a new thread, there are groups in the sac area, I know there is one in the Yolo/ Woodland area, but I think there is one close in town also. But I don't have a lot of details on it.

I'm a RPG GM gamer. Been hanging out in the Modesto area lately at the comic shop. Seen alot of gamers in there on the weekends so far. I'm looking to start a new game eventually. Rock on gamers.
