Male Drow Noble Gunslinger 3

Tizzird will finish climbing the ladder down and draw his revolver and begin waiting for one of the vermin to move before making a shot.

Initiative 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

Sjurd expands back to his prodigious height and hops down the shaft. (Which would be like a 3-foot drop for a Medium character.) Seeing the moth creatures, he frowns and readies his weapon.

Initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Female Kobold

Init Order:
Knot
Raviel
Tizzird
Sjurd
Moths (1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9)

The quick Knotted prepares to fire his longbow, as Raviel moves and readies himself. Tizzird also stands at the ready. Meanwhile, Sjurd follows the others and draws his flail.

The moths fly at Sjurd, seeing him as the 'biggest' threat. The fire giant swings at the middle one as it moves...
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
But the creature is too quick.
Tizzird shoots at the closest moth as well, scoring a hit.
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
How much damage does a revolver do, Jorm?
The three bizarre things snap at Sjurd.
3d20 + 0 ⇒ (3, 9, 15) + 0 = 27
None of them are able to get through the giant's armor. However, the strange droning of their wings is oddly frustrating.

Everyone make a Will save, DC 14, or be confused for 2d4 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2 rounds. 1d4 ⇒ 1
*Sigh*
If the save is failed, you will all...*dramatic musical cue* ACT NORMALLY!
For this round, anyways. Knot is up.

Have you moved downstairs? You can't really shoot at them from above.

Male Oakling Ranger 2 / Rogue 1

I had assumed we were all in for the rumble......I also assumed the confusion occurs after my arrows.... ;)

If you want to move downstairs, it's a full move action. Or you could jump. Sorry, but all you've mentioned is readying your bow.

male human swarm shifter torment, blood, rust, fire skeletal champion lv3 rogue (rake)

although i'm probably immune to this but ok
will save 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Raviel moves behind the months and flanks one with Sjurd and attacks it with his claw

claw attack
to hit 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
to wound 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
sneak attack damage 2d6 ⇒ (4, 6) = 10

Raviel swings at the moth creature, but his claw cannot penetrate the thick carapace.

Tizzird is up. Unless you say otherwise, Knot, I'm assuming you climbed down. Sorry to be so nitpicky, but I want to know where everyone is.
On that note, I'll post the map as soon as I get home. Image hosts are blocked by the filter here.

Male Drow Noble Gunslinger 3

Tizzard will try to keep out of range of the moth beasties and bring his revolver to bear firing into the closest damn moth, he hates the dust they leave on things. With a pounding roar he fires his pistol and does his best to deafen his compatriots as he grins madly practically dancing from foot to foot in glee.

ooc:

Will Save 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Ranged damage from held action Kobold rolled 1d8 ⇒ 2

As Tizzird's gun thunders away, a noise can be heard from up above in the room from which the party entered via the trapdoor.

Huzzah! On, Alkenstar! Andoran joins thee in thy struggle! For the Eagle!

Initiative: 1d20 ⇒ 6

Male Drow Noble Gunslinger 3

"shirt" Tizzird curses as he tries to find some cover from the new attack from above "Moths to the left of me, jokers from Andoran to the right and I'm stuck here in the middle with you, a flaming skeleton"

male human swarm shifter torment, blood, rust, fire skeletal champion lv3 rogue (rake)

"he may be on our side, then again that may not be useful"

Male Drow Noble Gunslinger 3

Since I'm an Aussie I'm about to pass out but I don't want to hold you guys up so presume I try and stay out of hand to hand and fire a shot once per turn at an enemy not in melee, failing that I'll try pistol whipping an enemy already fighting someone. Oh, and if you missed it before my revolver does 1d8 damage and for a pistol whip it'd be an improvised strike.

male human swarm shifter torment, blood, rust, fire skeletal champion lv3 rogue (rake)

i'll also call it a night, on the start of the moths, one is going take 1d6 fire damage, and if it strikes me with a natural weapon it'll take an additional 1d6 fire damage...MUAHAHAHAHA

Liberty's Edge

Male Human Alchemist 3

At his earliest opportunity, His Excellency will take his turn climbing down into the cellar, warily observing his new allies.

Lo! Let us sunder these horrid creatures and hear the lamentations of their...moth-women! After which, tea!

Female Kobold

Sjurd is up.

Male Oakling Ranger 2 / Rogue 1

"No on expects the oaken inquisition!"

Dumb tree stands confused about what to do!

Sjurd swings his flail with all his might. "Zinda, his face black, his eyes red!"

Power Attack
heirloom heavy flail; Attack 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26, Damage 3d8 + 12 ⇒ (6, 1, 1) + 12 = 20

Critical confirmation
heirloom heavy flail; Attack 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9, Damage 3d8 + 12 ⇒ (7, 4, 3) + 12 = 26

*bump*

Male Drow Noble Gunslinger 3

"Jeez Pardner, that's some handy facesmahin' ye flail be doin'" Tizzird comments as he gets a draft of moth dust to the face and sneezes.

Male Oakling Ranger 2 / Rogue 1

Still confused, put away bow, climb down the ladder...

Male Ghoul Ghoul racial class 3, Paladin 3

A grayish blue man with patches of rotting flesh on his hands and face appears at the top of the ladder looking down on the scene.

Sup, gents! Is this the place where kolbolds need killing? The good chap dogcatcher sent me here to help you guys. You look busy with them moth things. You want some help? Oh I should introduce myself, but I won't cause well I actually don't know who I am, or rather I was seeing as how I'm a ghoul, freshly raised. I suppose you can call me Ghoulavard. Oh I suppose you're busy, maybe I should quit flagging what's left of my tongue and help huh?

Female Kobold

Okay, first off. The moth and Tizzird (but not the giant, of course)take 1d6 ⇒ 1 fire damage.
Sjurd sinks his flail into the crunchy flesh of his target. It screams in pain. Beset at all sides and badly injured, it flees.
Sjurd and Raviel get AoOs: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14 and 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15.
Sjurd and Raviel take swipes at it, but miss.
Everyone affected by the first confusion:

Spoiler:
Thoughts of madness rise in your mind. You will attempt to harm yourself, dealing 1d8+Str modifier.

Those not affected, make a second Will save, also DC 14. If you fail, see the spoiler.
The other two moths attack Sjurd.
Tentacles: 8d20 ⇒ (9, 20, 11, 17, 12, 16, 11, 4) = 100
Make three fortitude saves, DC 14, or be paralyzed for 2d6 ⇒ (6, 2) = 8, 2d6 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3 or 2d6 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6 rounds. Unless I'm mistaken, these stack.
They also nip at the giant: 2d20 ⇒ (2, 19) = 21
But miss.
Ghoul, roll initiative. And the good Andoran king is up!

Male Ghoul Ghoul racial class 3, Paladin 3

Righty-o chap sorry 'bout that.

Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

Will save: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31 (though I'm immune if it's mind-affecting)

Edit: wow small typo and I almost had an init of 153.

Liberty's Edge

Male Human Alchemist 3

Will Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

By gum, this flask of solvent looks like an excellent alternative to shampoo!

Confused by the moth-men's very existence, His Excellency expertly smashes one of the many flasks hanging from his jerkin over his head.

Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 5

Very well. On, Andoran!

Assuming I'm able to, I'll also move to within 20' of one of the beasts.

male human swarm shifter torment, blood, rust, fire skeletal champion lv3 rogue (rake)

I'm immune to the confusion effect too right?

Male Drow Noble Gunslinger 3

"I love big bugs and I cannot lie" Tizzird yells before shooting himself in the hand.

Damage to himself 1d8 ⇒ 7

Male Oakling Ranger 2 / Rogue 1

The tree suddenly throws himself to the ground....

Yelling...
"Timber!"...as he does so causing 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 damage to himself, then standing as a free action....

Male Drow Noble Gunslinger 3

Note to self, never let players describe their own conditional effects on themselves

Liberty's Edge

Male Human Alchemist 3

Actually, I thought all the reactions were very much in character. I know mine was!

Male Drow Noble Gunslinger 3

I meant all of us, the combination of "Timber" and acid shampoo have made me laugh fairly hard :)

Male Ghoul Ghoul racial class 3, Paladin 3

boy you all are a strange lot. There's beasties to kill and you'd rather be caught up in your auto-masochistic endeavors. No matter. I promised to help and help I shall

Climb down ladder.
If I can partial charge closest moth
Charging bite: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 paralysis fort save dc 19 1 minute
If I can't charge I will move as close as I can to a moth.

Fort save: 1d20 ⇒ 13

The moth screams, but its complaint is suddenly cut short as the ghoul's venom works its charm.
Raviel and Sjurd are up, then moths, if memory serves.

male human swarm shifter torment, blood, rust, fire skeletal champion lv3 rogue (rake)

seeing the paralyzed moth, Raviel will take his chances against the non-affected moth, swiping at it with 2 claw attacks, taking a 5' step to flank it

claw 1
to hit 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
to wound 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
sneak attack 2d6 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6
fire damage 1d6 ⇒ 6

claw 2
to hit 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
to wound 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
sneak attack 2d6 ⇒ (4, 3) = 7
fire damage 1d6 ⇒ 3

Female Kobold

Raviel moves to attack the unhurt moth, but misses.

Sjurd smiles as he whips his flail around him. "Ha-harrr!!"

heirloom heavy flail; Attack 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25, Damage 3d8 + 12 ⇒ (6, 4, 7) + 12 = 29

Female Kobold

I need those three Fortitude saves, Sjurd. Just a reminder.

If it's a SA then they stack. If it is poison, then I think it just ups the DC by 2 for each successive hit. If it is poison, then it would be one save at DC 18.

Fortitude 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Fortitude 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Fortitude 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

Looks like I might be paralyzed...

Female Kobold

As he is about to deliver a vicious swing, the tentacles take effect and Sjurd finds himself paralyzed.
I'll let you save those nice rolls for later, since you didn't get to use them.
You're stuck for 3 rounds.

The wounded moth hangs back, watching. The paralyzed moth doesn't do much, either. But the last moth turns and attacks the nearest threat--Ravial--in a frenzy.
Tentacles: 4d20 ⇒ (8, 11, 8, 10) = 37
Bite: 1d20 ⇒ 15
Are you trying to dodge, Lanoth? I'd understand if you're not, since the tentacles wouldn't affect you and it'd deal damage to the moth, but I'll leave it up to you.
If you not: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 2, 4) = 9 The first d6 is from it starting out next to you. And you take 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 from the bite.
Otherwise, it missed.
His Excellency is up!

Liberty's Edge

Male Human Alchemist 3

Do I still need to make a Will save? I'm corn-fused. I'll assume not, because that will be more fun.

Pffah! Begone, vile creature!

His Excellency moves closer (within 30') of the wounded Moth-man, pulling a vial from his jerkin. He flings it at the creature with a magnificent flourish.

Attack (vs. Touch AC): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (1, 1) + 4 = 6 fire damage. 6 fire damage to all adjacent squares (DC 15 Ref save for half damage to adjacent squares).

male human swarm shifter torment, blood, rust, fire skeletal champion lv3 rogue (rake)

i'll take the damage and let it have it...

Male Oakling Ranger 2 / Rogue 1

Finally recovering himself.....

Darkwood Greatclub
Attack 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Damage 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

As he screams at the moths
"You want a piece of me?"

Female Kobold

The moth hisses as it is hit by the bomb.
The paralyzed moth, Sjurd, Raviel and Knot all take 6 damage. Sjurd and Raviel, of course, are immune.
Knot swings, but the bomb's knocked him off balance and he misses.
The rest of you (except his Excellency and Knot)are up.

Male Drow Noble Gunslinger 3

"I ain't got time to bleed" Tizzird mutters to himself looking at his ruined hand. Lining up a quick shot Tizzird fires away with his pistol and hits one of the moths for a decent amount of damage, at least it would be some decent damage if it weren't for the mad world he lived in, damn fire giants showing him up.

ooc (all):

Tizzird shoots at the closest enemy target picking one not engaged in melee if possible 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

and if it hits 1d8 ⇒ 4

Female Kobold

** spoiler omitted **

The one who fled to the back of the room and the paralyzed one are equally far from you. Which one do you fire at?

Male Oakling Ranger 2 / Rogue 1

Note to self.....

Spoiler:

Hit points 11/26

Male Drow Noble Gunslinger 3

The one at the back of the room then :)
