All,
I'm getting geared up to start my first PFS pbp. How does "The Devil We Know" arch sound to everyone? I'm modifying it since the story doesn't flow very well but it should still conform to all PFS standards.

Sounds good to me. Are you planning on running parts I and II? I'd love to bring Quioxti home to Taldor for this one, although I may have to settle for Kr...or a new ninja.

I'll be running I, II, III & IV, but actualy not in that order. We are flying though Silent Tide so I might wait so Quioxti can join the group but I'll see what everyone else thinks too.

I'll be running them II, III, IV, then I. I'm hoping this will be the start of a Taldan campaign using only PFS scenarios.
You are welcome to join if you want but I expecting people to commit to the whole arch. According to the replay rules you can play the scenario as long as you use a different character with a different faction than the last time you played and you would not get any credit.

EDIT: Actually, I get the impression existing characters will be involved in this; what tier are you shooting for? It might influence my choice of character...

Great. Here is my character background:

Damian Orthova:

"Damian is a decrepit old man without much life in his body... and his soul.

20 years ago, Damian lived with his grandson Erbilón. They were inseparable. Damian knew a few magic tricks and the boy loved to see his grandfather to perform it over and over again. The boy learned this tricks at an incredible rate. It was clear that the boy had a talent for magic, and his grandfather was determined to help him develop this talent. His grandson -all that was left in the old man's life- will someday became someone great, and Damian would help him in all he could. He had some savings, all he could save in the second half of his life, and he would make a good use of it. The next year was the 10º birthday of the boy and Damian would pay the loan for the local mage guild.

However, a couple of months before the birthday, a plague of unknown source ravaged the district. Many lives was lost that day in pain and agony. And the cruel destiny didn't take his life -a long and happy life-. The cruel destiny took his grandson's life instead, who barely endured the suffering. Damian was broken since that day.

Damian was crying Erbilon's death for three months. And then, he realized that this suffering will be the guide of the rest of his life. The gods stolen his grandson from his old hands. So, Damian has to make justice on his own way. He has to bring the children back to his side.

So, Damian used his life savings to earn the forbidden knowledge needed to bring back his grandson to life: the necromancy. Now, 20 years later, at the age of almost 80, he began to understand his darkest secrets. He could be playing with his grandson real soon, once again. Damian only wanted to live enough to see his dream come true."

This will be tier 1-2. Exsisting charesters are ok as long as they fall in this range.

For tier 1-2, I can bring along a (combat-focused) Oracle of Lore with two games under his belt, or a brand-new Summoner(Synthesist) 1.

Luke, either one is fine so far we have a Magus 1st, and a Wizard (Necromancer) 1st.
If it makes a difference this will be a Taldor centric "campaign".

I would like to have a fifth so I'm waiting to hear back from one more person. I'm expecting at least one post per weekday. If you are going to miss a couple days please let me know beforehand if possible. I don't hear from someone for more than 48s during the week I will GMPC their character if necessary.

Great back story. If you could please just put the rest of your character's info (i.e. Skills, equipment...) in his profile here on Paizo that would be great. Also it looks like you have one of the lowest level characters so you may want to put some GM credit towards him between scenarios to try and catch up with the rest of the players.

Please fill in the rest of your character info (i.e. Traits, Class Abilities...) when you get a chance.

if you could throw some line breaks in there for ease of reading that would awesome. Also I see the character has the Taldor faction but you mention the Osirian book, just curious what faction you will be running with?

GM, I have a favor to ask. Damian is a level 1 human wizard (necromancer). He has never been used in a Pathfinder Society game before. He hasn't any Chronicle sheet.

I have received recently the last Pathfinder book Ultimate Magic, and I think I'm at the right time to change some things in Damian sheet. Could I?

I you please, these are the changes I want to make (it's not to much to change):
-Empower spell changes to Skeleton Summoner
-Trait Souldrinker changes to Trait Master of Pentacles.
-Forbidden schools change to "Illusion and Transmutation".
-Spell "Hypnosis" changes to Spell "Summon Monster I".

What do you say?

Hello! I just joined Pathfinder Society and I wanted to know if it was possible to join your game and what I need to do to start playing. Thank you!

Well we are about to start the first combat so can't really start you up yet. That being said I would love to add you to the "table". Taking a brief look at your character everything looks good. What I would like you to do is make sure you read up on the in character thread and post a spoilered back-story back here along with a reason you would be in the sewers of Cassimir. This way I can work you into the adventure and I can make sure you'll stick it out for the long haul.

Isandra is a young girl with still too much to learn about the world. She was raised in a small village outside of Almas. Her family has a tradition of being herbalists and caretakers so when she started to follow her parents footstep's it came almost natural for her. Sadly, a plague struck down the village some years ago and not even her parents were able to withstand the sickness. The town was saved by a cleric of Sarenrae that happened to be traveling nearby.

Isandra decided to follow the cleric and join the church to keep helping people through her skills. She is a quiet girl and assist in the best way she can. She might no be the smartet of gals, but she just follows her common sense.

A couple of days ago she got a letter from the mother of one her old friends back in Almas. She begs her for help to find her son as he has gone missing in Cassomir. The last thing she knows is that Jolan was about to get a job at the docks but he hasn't contacted her since then. The woman fears Jolan might have gotten into a dangerous job and he's hurt. All the other people she have asked are not able to check on him and Isandra is her last chance.

So, Isandra feels she should at least try to find out what happened to Jolan. Once she arrived to Cassomir, she actually learned Jolan got a work in the docks but angered a group of sailors and fled through the sewers to escape a good beating. No one has seen him since then. Fearing the worst, Isandra decides to take her chances and look for Jolen in the sewers(or his body).

Hey GMEW I realized I took 2 traits from the same type: Caretaker and Sacred Touch. I'll keep caretaker as it goes better with her background and Indomitable from the Faction Traits. I hope this is not a problem. :( Sorry!
