Since the release of the Bestiary 2, has there been any additons or changes to the summon monster list? I was curious because the new book doesn't actually have a new list anywhere for either summon monster or summon nature's ally. It just kinda mentions the possiblity of summoning a creature. If anyone could help I would appreciate it.

There were no direct additions, but you can add the Resolute or Entropic templates in place of the Celestial and Fiendish templates, and you can summon the new types of Elementals in place of the ones in the first Bestiary. Other than that, there are no official additions to the Summon Monster lists.

Since AD&D i change the summon monster lists based on "magic traditions" i created myself. If, for example, the magic traditions were the five colors of magic from magic the gathering then i would have a green list with forest creatures and fae, a blue list with sea creatures and arcane creatures, a black list with undead and swamp aberrations etc...
So a mage must choose a tradition when created and never change (never without an epic quest at least). This even got to campaigns about war between traditions and other political conflicts.
