just wondering but I haven't been able to find the description for the splatter man. every other major haunt or undead has a pic. He is the only one without. at least one with a name associated to him. any help would be appreciated.
What the text told us: He's not very physically capable. Both his legs are broken. He died of drowning after having most of his flesh burned off.
I've also been imagining him as wearing glasses for some reason.
Alternatively, I'm pretty sure the final picture in the module is supposed to depict him. (The one with the Sorcerer and Paladin iconics looking down a hall and seeing a skeletal mage coming towards them.)
Erik is spot on - the half-page illo on page 55 depicts the Splatter Man. This is something we frequently do - the last villiain, the big bad of the adventure, or a major battle at the end of the adventure is usually shown in the last half-page art of the adventure.
I was just making sure that it was him. as I said before the other four have art that is named and gives a good description but there was only that image and it could honestly be an arcane skeleton. also were does it say his legs are broken and he drowned after his flesh burned off. what it says in the end just before the stats for the haunt is how he was engulfed in flames and basically ran panicked into the oubliette and died from the fall. also the oubliette flooded after the fire.
also since that last piece is of him what is that symbol on his skull? is it just artistic flavor?
another thing who smuggled in the spell components for him? will we meet this accomplice or is it just a mcguffin for GMs?
