Which Archdevil / Duke of Hell to use?

I have a plot that involves a evil wizard being brought back as a lich by an infernal patron, but I'm not sure who to use. In other settings I would probably use Orcus as he is the Demon lord of Undeath, but who fills that role in Golarion?

Well... Orcus isn't an arch devil and has little to do with Hell... that said, he IS in Golarion. Along with a demon lord of ghouls (Kabriri) and a demon lord of vampires (Zura).

We've published two books on fiends in the Book of the Damned series; one on devils (Princes of Darkness) and one on demons (Lords of Chaos) so far. There's a LOT of info in there on these guys... there's a briefer discussion of them in the just-released Inner Sea World Guide.

So... it depends on what alignement your lich is, really.

Chaotic Evil: Go with a demon lord. Orcus is probably the best bet for a lich, but so would be Abraxus (demon lord of forbidden lore and magic), Haagenti (demon lord of alchemy and transformation), Kabriri (demon lord of graves and secrets), Yhidothrus (demon lord of time and worms), or Zura (demon lord of blood and vampires).

Neutral Evil: Go with the Horseman of Death—Charon, the arch daemon.

Lawful Evil: Any devil would get a kick out of selling a wizard a contract that includes the secret of becoming a lich in return for all sorts of favors, but I suspect the arch devils that'd work the best with a wizard who wants to become a lich would be Geryon (arch devil of forbidden knowledge and heresy), Mephistopheles (arch devil of contracts and secrets), Mahathallah (whore queen of death and fate), Kalma (infernal dukee of burial rites and death), Lorcan (infernal duke of rebirth and undeath), or Circiatto (Malbranche of greed and undead).

I know I've said this before, but I really love the personal attention you guys give the boards here. This isn't first time I've gotten a speedy and detailed answer from you and it amazes me every time.

I specifically had infernal in mind as I plan on using Cheliax to a large degree and thus devils fit better than demons. I have the Princes of Darkness book, but I didn't see a detailed section about the Dukes, am I missing it or is there another source I should reference? In particular I'd like to know more about Lorcan.

The dukes are listed on the inside back cover, and are talked about briefly on page 32... but there's not a lot of info about them yet. Many of them are based on real-world mythology and legend, though...

I use all the archdevils and dukes of hell, then kick'em to the curb when i am done and have what I want. Then they get all upset, stay in their hellish castles and cry, go out and get drunk. Calling me in the middle of the night and begging me to take them back. it is really pathetically sad.

There's not much about Lorcan out there, and checking the copious notes on devils and demons I assembled while writing this, I'm pretty sure this was just one of the names I made up. With the blood and rebirth aspect it sounds like you might be interested in kind of a vampire route and might want to check out the section on the Revenant Court on page 16 of Princes of Darkness. I kind of see this guy as being a blood devil, a unique creature made largely out of ever-flowing boiling blood who barely retains his shape and holds court from within a gigantic crystalline coffin, obsessed with the idea of retaining his life and expanding his life/power with the addition of ever more victims. He might doll some of his power/himself out to servants, but such is a literal blood contract that damns them to eventually be sacrificed into his scabrous crypt.

But that's just my 2 cents worth of impromptu design.

If you're looking for someone with more detail, I'd go with Mammon. Not only do we know a bunch about him from Princes of Darkness, but there's a whole article on him in Pathfinder #30.
