Question on Adapting 3.5 module to PFRPG (TC1)

Hello, im going to Dm Pathfinder for the first time and Whiele i have a fairly good grasp of the rules from playing this will be the first attempt at Dming.

Im going to have the players Traveling towards Falcons hollow to start and use TC1 (puting the Forest between where they leave and falcons hollow)

So Ive been readig the Ecounter rules and was wondering what a better model is for adapting a 3.5 game.

Do i just Add the Advanced Simple template (and thus keeing the same number of monsters)

Example off the top of my head the first fight is 3 dogs i believe.

Or should i Raise the Number of creatures up so their CR is equal to the EL listed for the encounter.

In the case of my sample dog fight I think either method may work but the Last fight for this involves 3 NPCs with PC class levels. Since they are all now CR 1/2 rather than Cr 1 should i just give them each a level?

Lastly, and really not connected to the rest But im curious what Sorcerer Bloodline folks think the goblin should be.

I was origonally going to do d0 but its PDF only and my IPAD is in the shop and wont have a chance to print it before i do this i do not think.

Adding the advanced simple template is agood choice- you can also have a look in the Bestiary for a similarly-themed, equal CR foe. Most creatures CRs haven't changed, just use the Pathfinder version. Three dogs should be a CR 1 encounter. If the adventure needs a CR 2 encounter (I don't have it in front of me), you could add more dogs, but be careful, 1st level PCs aren't that much tougher in Pathfinder.

Adding levels to NPC foes is certainly the "proper" approach, but keep an eye on how challenging the encounter should really be. Adding a level of an NPC class might be a better idea, especially if the players (and yourself) are fairly new.

Thank you, i was looking at the Monsters and several appear to have the same Cr so i'll assume the one created for the modual will remain cr 3.

the 3 NPCs for the last fight were all cr 1 in c.5 and i think are now Cr 1/2 if they ar ejust level 1.

So i'll likely Just give them all 1 levevel int heir chosen class and call it a day.

Once they finish this Assuming they dont Decide to run off with the Regalia, i'll have the Professor Ask them to go to the Falcons hallow area to look into the Dwarven Ruin there.

Will jus thave to re-read it to see if theirs a Suitable item there for his shrouding art or if i have to make one.
