My group last night managed to finish off Mokmorian with a Baleful Polymorph, turning him into a squirrel (with a few Thassalonian rune tattoos). It made Karzougs speech more interesting.
The group have now kept Mokmorian as a pet.
Has anyone else managed to 'remove' a key enemy in such an amusing way?
Less amusing than polymorph stone giant to squirrel but we got a kick out of this at the time:
Lucretia and some of the ogres from Ft. Rannick slipped away to Hook Mountain while the PCs were off checking out the ruptured dam, so they were part of the encounter with Barl later on.
PC sorcerer used create pit causing Jaargrath and Hookmaw Kreeg to tumble in, Jaargrath first. Hookmaw failed to get out of the pit again for more than the length of time it took to fail a Reflex save and tumble back in atop Jaargrath -- twice. Barl's stonegiant bodyguard was then killed adjacent to the pit and fell in atop the two ogres.
Jaargrath ended up crushed/smothered at the bottom of the pit. To add insult to injury, Jaargrath only got one attack before he fell in: a charge attack with Vital Strike and Power Attack online -- where he rolled a natural 1 to hit.
Well, I didn't find it very amusing....but when my group of PCs got to Nualia (who I converted into a summoner) they made a perception check to hear her and Lyre talking on the other side of a door. Suspecting a BBEG moment, the party imediately began buffing the hell out of eachother, right next to the door...which Nualia and Lyre both heard...who began promptly buffing the hell out of themselves...
Finally the party kicks in the door, wins initiative, party eidolon charges and crits Nualia's eidolon; party wizard hits Nualia with a specter handed ghoul touch, which she wiffed the save on; party fighter calmly walks up to Nualia and coup de gras her...which was funny all by itself, as he couldn't hit ANYTHING...cept the BBEG...
Lyre was invisible and hiding off in the corner, as when I converted her to Pathfinder I completely spaced combat spells...
Without a doubt, the lamest encounter I ever ran...
