My kingmaker group just picked up a cursed item... failed to identify its cursed ability and are now wearing it. Problem is, the person wearing it is the only person in the group able to cast "remove curse".
Can the character cast remove curse on himself to remove the item?
Unless the item itself uses some sort of charm or compulsion to have its unfortunate wielder avoid attempts at remove curse (which would probably extend to attempts to cast the spell), nothing in the rules as written prevents a character from removing a curse from themselves.
