As this AP is a wee bit of a sandbox style campaign, the map folio has 3 poster maps: The Shiv, Saventh-Yhi and Ilmurea.
Each is a 2x4 page poster map, with no markings or writing on them (except for the name and scale).

You see, I don't agree with Tom here: I got the maps and I thought they were a total disappointment.
First, I thought they would be tactical maps (for the "end-fight" or somtehing like that). That is my fault, though, so I take it like a man!
But unless you always play in the same place and can mount them on a wall, these maps are useless and take a lot of room on the playing surface. Was reaaly disappointed I spent 15 bucks on these.

It depends on how you plan to use the maps. The Saventh-Yhi map, for instance, is going to be well worth the money spent. I plan to do what James Jacobs suggested and have the map out on the table. Since the PCs have seen an image of the city already at Tazion, I'm cool with that. Then, I'll let the PCs trace their progress through the city in pencil as they explore the ruins.

I laminated my maps and plan on having them on the table, with the players writing on them with grease pencils and such, to mark their explorations, findings, etc..
I have already started doing so with the first map, much to my players delight.

My friendly local game store brings in hard plastic poster sleeves for me to purchase. They definitely cost less than $10 (but I'm not sure of the exact MSRP). I think they might be made by Ultra Pro?
I slide the maps in, then use wet-erase (for anything I want to keep noted long term) and dry erase (for markings I intend to remove during the same session) markers as appropriate.

I have it and it's awesome.
The map of Saventh-Yhi is worth the price of admission alone. (And will make this DM's life so much easier during the sandbox/exploration portion. To be honest, I'm not sure I would DM this AP without it.)
Are there .pdf versions? We are playing over Fantasy Grounds.
Overall I have been very disappointed over the lack of maps in this adventure path. There are many, many cool encounters that you are just supposed to find a map for and it is really annoying.
