"Except that if it came from the future, it would be more likely to produce "rotten" food as opposed to "fresh" food. Perhaps the key is indeed that alcohol, honey, raisins, and prunes, if kept is proper storage are effectively ageless. Moonshine, the only alcohol that it can produce, is not, as it would eventually break down as the fermentation process occurred. Cheese, which has the same creation process as alcohol, does not have the life span of alcohol. Therefore, it may be safe to say that it can only create material that eventually breaks down and rots, and makes new food and drink from that material, essentially recycling the same material over and over and over and over."
Reasonably confident in his reasoning, and quietly praying that he is not about to become someone's lunch, he will address the riddler, "The material comes from some source created at the time the bar was created; it cannot create honey, wine, or salted fare because it's source is a contained source with no further additions to it possible, and to create honey, wine, salt, or even dried fruit would be to deplete it's source. Since it can only continue to create as long as it can recycle, reducing the amount available to recycle would mean that what is clearly supposed to function indefinitely would eventually run dry and no longer function." He stands steadfast in front of the massive creature, determined to die bravely if that is what must happen.

Take this with you, as I don't believe you've realized yet extradimensional spaces tend to get out of sync with the time in this room, one of the places assorted limitations, but heres a Handy Sack of Held Time it can only hold up to five pounds, or three different things - whichever limitation you reach first, I'm sure you'll find it useful though. Now go forth, you've rested here long enough, also DON'T repeat what I'm about to say until you have a better idea of what's going on, and are ready for another riddle,

Dexter ties the small bag onto his belt as he comments, "That was fun; perhaps we should investigate the good lady's clue, lest we try her patience by tarrying here any longer." His well practiced calm outside demeanor belies an inner turmoil of emotions from the terrifying experience as he walks towards the door leading back to normal time.

Chord's jaw drops in amazement
"That was a MUCH better guess than I had guessed. Assuridly, Dexter, you have the mind of a scholar befitting a grand wizard instead of just a simple potion maker. Why do you fiddle with such things benieth your intellectual station?"

shakes his head in disagreement "Worry not, I dont think I shall ever utter that word. I value my life more than wagering it on a riddle."
Wonders if he can get that drunken oaf of an ogrekin at the tavern to speak the word at a most unfortunate moment to assist Chord's escape in the future. Boy, wouldnt he be surprised! and I doubt the oaf has an ounce of brain to figure out the slightest riddle. Now, that I think of it,where have I head that name before?

"I believe our friend the sphinx intends for us to leave out the western doors, here. Dexter and I came in from the east, a path that appears now to be sealed -- though I confess I am not surprised by that particular development -- and we did indeed search the rest of the rooms in this space, to little discovery. Although, Haydog, had you found something in the room with the targets? I ask merely out of curiosity."
Cinder Spark
Once the Sphinx has said this, the great adamantine doors grind closed, leaving everyone in your group back in the hall, as the doors to the west grind open, beyond you can see the crypt underneath the temple of Pharasma once more.

Chatting as you make your way out, you note that the great doors don't disappear behind you as you make your way out, and in fact remain wide open. Heading back through the crypts you don't spot the spirits of any of the dead lurking about, and when you make it back upstairs you see that the door from the crypt to the temple is open, and Lynnoria, the priestess of Pharasma, is waiting on the other side of the alter. When she spots your group she rushes over to speak with you.
Lynnoria aka DM Ane

Oh thank Pharasma your alright. I was so worried when your group didn't come back. Did you take care of the ghosts downstairs, along with whatever might have caused their unrest? I've got your reward here for helping the Sheriff - and who are these two people you have found down there?
Lynnoria fumbles with a box resting on the alter before handing it over to Cinder, the box contains eight potions of cure moderate wounds (2d8+3) carefully wrapped in a long piece of white wool.
Setrek Dalltur
Setrek jots a quick note in his chapbook and then stuffs it back in his vest pocket before bowing to the priestess. "Setrek Dalltur, madam, specializing in Lost and Found, after my fashion, and these are Dexter and Teddy, master riddle-solvers and Pathfinders, among other things."
Lynnoria aka DM Ane
Ah, Pathfinders I see, have you taken the chance to visit the local office yet? I'm sure there must be something interesting to be learned there, anyways today is The Day of Bones, or rather the 5th of the month of Pharast. You were thankfully only missing a single day.
Did you find out what caused the ghosts to rise up? The Sheriff said that you were following some tracks deeper into the crypt, I must say I've never actually explored the full extent of the place myself, and am not even aware of exactly how far it extends on for - not generally going further than necessary to lay souls to rest.
Setrek Dalltur
"Dexter is right; circumstances led us here before any real exploration of the town proper could occur. There will be time-aplenty for that, though, I am certain. In the meantime perhaps we can begin a more thorough exploration of this temple fate has seen fit to place us all in? Maybe a cause for this ghostly offence can be found."

The Northern, Eastern, and Western walls of the main sanctuary that you find yourselves in have four doors each, leading to the outside, while the inside of the doors are simple, the outsides of the doors have intricate carvings. Which can be viewed on page 3 of the pbp The Southern Wall has a 20 foot wide door that opens up to the outside, which is open for the festival today.
On the northern side of this room an alter to Pharasma is set up, draped in black and red and adorned with the blue and white spiral that is Pharasma's holy symbol. There are 6 long wooden pews lined up in front of this.
There is a slightly rickety looking spiral staircase leading up to a second floor. The place appears to have been decorated with black roses for the Day of Bones. Your footsteps echo around the room as you walk through the main sanctuary.

"If I may be permitted to ask? What is the Day of Bones and why is it on the 5th? ... oh wait?!? I missed a day? That is FIVE whole meals I missed!!!! NOOoooooooo"
Did you find out what caused the ghosts to rise up? The Sheriff said that you were following some tracks deeper into the crypt...
"We followed the tracks to three sets of magical non friendly doors. One of which opened to the sounding word "Saseme". I used skill to open the second and the third opened on its own accord."
After Chord rolls his eyes and takes a deep breath, he continues.
"...behind the door was a room that lead to a room with a magical bar that gave you almost everything to wished for, a stupid room with training dummies and a bow and arrow or two, three bunkbeds, two chests, 7 chairs, a magical braclet pedistal which produces braclets that help you count to 716 but it doesnt count like 1,2, 3, 4, 5... but just 716, it was once on 715 but it incremented on itself."
wonders if he said something wrong, and the moment quickly passes.
"So... this door open with a giant dog, er no, lion, er no, GIANT LI-OG THINGY and it tells us , its going to eat us unless we guess its riddle, and it was a nasty riddle but Dexter, being the riddle solver master beat it and it said it would let us go and gave Dexter a bag and told us to never say Alset...mmmmrrrrrphhh" chord covers his mouth before finishing.
Dexter Firewater
"As you can see, we've had a rather intense "day" for lack of any better description. Before I can investigate too much further, I should probably check in at the office, since they would have been expecting me "yesterday," or whenever this whole thing started. Temporal disruptions are not easy for the brain to process." With that, Dexter will bow again, and unless someone else in the party has concrete directions of how to proceed with the investigation, he will probably seek out the Pathfinder's Office.
It's not so much I want to split the party as much as that is what Dexter would do without a definite plan that would lead him somewhere else.

During the Day of Bones we open up the crypts underneath the temple for people to pay their respects to the departed, as part of the celebration of death an rebirth. It's celebrated in the month named for our goddess, Pharast, and near its beginning partially as a celebration of the beginning of spring as well. It is a time in which Pharasma releases the world from the death grip of winter, and things are born anew.

Chord tells Dexter as he is leaving with whoever goes with him. "I will spend my time waiting for you near where we fought the spirits. I want to show Lady Linnoria the tree door while we are at it. I wont go past the door."
Chord heads back down to the place where he fought the first spirit and looks there for clues/drag marks.

Arriving at the outside of a small wooden building, the eastern wall of which appears to be dangerously leaning outwards, you find a small sign on the front door reading "Closed" above a set of white letters painted on the door, "Hours 8-7". The interior of the building being darkened your unable to clearly see inside in the morning light.

You don't have a long way to go from the temple, as The Burning Stone is just across the town square. You enter the inn to find the staff cleaning up after the previous nights customers who have now mostly gone home, apart from Aack, the drunken man who was in here yesterday. Zaebly Pickerdown - the innkeeper, Errand - the barmaid, Rukk Steelboot - the Barkeep, and Rindel - the kid hired to mop up the general mess of the place, are all on duty at the moment, mainly having cleared away the chaos of the previous evening.
Rindel will come over when he see's Haydog enter, and ask "What happened last night, I never saw you come in to your room?"

Oh, poor Edrey, should have been laying to rest here, died mysteriously back on Calistril 20th along with a couple of other farmers.
Chord looks up at Lynnoria "Mysteriously? maybe there is a link between how they died and why his remains were taken. What was the cause of death?"
With this you lead Lynnoria back to the magical doors, and she acts as if she's about to walk through without first stopping in front of the wide open doors.
Chord grabs Lynnoria by the wrist "Wait!" Dont you see the tree door before you?"
Chord looks around to see if the drag marks lead anywhere else and while he has Lynnoria down here will take inventory of those interred who have been taken. After looking around the door area, we will head in a clockwise direction, going south first.
Tells Cinder "Ready your weapon in case there are more spirits about."

no fear my little friend im already one step ahead of you as chord turns to tell cinder to ready his weapon he sees that cinder's weapon is already in hand
Chord turns around to see that wild eyed look in Cinder's eyes, the twitchyness of cinders hands readied for some yet unseen spirit to accidentally walk in front of Cinder's bloodthirsty vengence, the drool slowly edging its way down the corner of Cinder's mouth.
"er, why yes Cinder, maybe we should split up and cover more ground this side of the door. Why dont you and your scimitar head north and Setrek and myself will cover the southern passage. The area is kind of small so please check to make sure it is us before you swing." A wide smile appears on Chords cheeks.
Turns to Setrek and the rest who have accompanied them
"I feel I missed something about your entrance to the crypt. Though we met behind the tree door. How was it you came by that hall? My concern would be there may be other secret ways and portals into the crypt. Maybe I should map out what we have so far, or is that what you are doing.." Chord points at Setrek's chapbook
Setrek Dalltur
Basically assume that Setrek has been sketching the maps the DM provides, that's been my intent.
"I've been doing some mapping, yes, also trying to take what notes I can about this place. I certainly would not be surprised to find it had many doors in many different planes, especially given how it just appeared with an audible thump in our hallway in the inn."
