I know you guys have things worked out probably a year in advance, but I thought I'd throw this idea out there for people to mull over, if it's not already in consideration.
I think it would be great to have a Companion product for planar adventuring, sort of like an Inner Sea Primer for the Great Beyond. It could have short player-friendly descriptions of the planes, feats, traits, and equipment for planewalking characters (including planar natives), and perhaps some discussion of using planetouched races as PCs, if there's room.

+1, I really like the idea of a Companion book for planar adventures.

Oooo. Interesting thought.
Certainly, Planescape took the approach of including player primer material — both in the original box and a separate product.
But on the flip side...
My favorite part about planar adventuring is that the players really don't know what to expect. If we had reliable memory erasing technology, the second thing I would erase is my knowledge of Planescape (and Torment) so that I could adventure to Sigil "for the first time" with a prime character again.
Player ignorance is a large part of what makes the planes so awesome. So yes, I am of two minds on this product idea...

I see it as more of I was born in Sigil (and I know Sigil isn't open so it would actually be something else), what do I know. It would be cool to have planar traits and feats as well.

I'd be supportive of this on one condition- that it was connected to a World Guide: The Planes in the way that the Inner Sea one was (theoretically) connected to World Guide: TIS, and hopefully there will be with the Tian Xia Guide

Not so much to only focus on the planes but that it would also cover / flesh out some of the other planets in the solar system in addition. I know there's the existing Companion Guide out there, but I'd like more!

*blush* Those are some big names you're putting me up there with. *blush*
It'd be fun to see a book like this, and at some point a guide maybe to running planes-based adventures, and a/some sample starting point(s). Shadow Absalom, Galisemni, the City of Brass, and High Ninshabur would strike me as obvious choices, especially the first two. But this is just idle banter on my part.
And on a tangent to that, I've got a oneshot planar game written up that I've tested on my home group that I'd like at some point to run at a convention (GenCon perhaps).

High Ninshabur? Wot? Ziggurats to heaven? Tower of Babel? Dear Marduk I want it!
