Made a Mistake With New Player's PFS Number

Scarab Sages 2/5

I am going to blame this one on my wife.

I just recently got to start running regular PFS scenarios at my local game store. I didn't want to waste older PFS cards that had went unused from a few months ago, so I used them up this weekend. The problem is that a card that should have been cut from the sheet was not and I accidentally gave it to a new player. He is fully understanding of this, and I gave him two new chronicles that are filled in except for his character's PFS number.

Can I correct this by just giving you guys the sign-in name and email that he registered to Paizo.com with and the number he should have?

Thanks for the assist.

You should be able to correct this yourself, by pressing the edit link on the event report screen.

The enter the session number in the upper right box and press search.

Activate the PFS member number box and enter the player's new number.

Then save & exit.

The event hasn't been reported yet. I registered it as a two day event when I set it up. We basically played one scenario Saturday and another Sunday. This player played in both.

Between Saturday and Sunday he registered the number I gave him in the first scenario. When he showed it to me Sunday on his laptop to make sure he did it correctly that was when we noticed the problem.

So I gave him two chronicle sheets for the weekend minus the character pfs number. As soon as I know this is straightened out I will email him and he will add that last bit to his sheets.

You should be good then.

I don't see how I can be if the player in question registered the wrong PFS# for himself. A number that has already been registered by someone else.

PFS#s are unique.
Only one player can have it.

Either the player you are talking about has that number or another player does. Whoever does not needs to re-register.

But maybe I just do not understand the situation that has arisen.

That is what I am trying to figure out, as far as I know you can't register a number if it is already used.

If he was able to register the number either..

1. The number is not registered even though you thought it was.
2. He was not able to, but just thinks he was.
3. Me and Diego are wrong, and 2 players can have the same number.

@ Tambryn:
Try reporting the sessions in question.
When you enter the PFS# and character# the character's name should fill in automatically.

If it matches your player you are fine.
If it does not auto fill the player has either not registered his character or has not registered, period.

If another player's character fills in your player has either given you a wrong PFS# or has not registered.

You guys are right. I don't know what I was thinking. Maybe I was just too caught up in the possibility that I had made such an absentminded mistake.

Either way, thanks for the assistance. I'll probably get around to reporting them tonight or tomorrow.

I am happy to help.
Make sure to come back if you have any more problems.
