Subscription Idea...

Seriously, why isn't there a subscription for Pathfinder Society scenarios?

I know I would buy it.

And, while you're at it, you should make a "package" that includes all the scenarios from Season 0, and one from Season 1.

I'm just sayin'. :)

Are you asking for a subscription discount or just an automatic payment/availability option? If the former, they are already $3.99 or cheaper ($3.39) if you are an AP subscriber. If latter, since it is strictly a pdf, it does not seem necessary. IMO the reason for a subscription is to either get a printed copy shipped to you as soon as it is released without having to go to the FLGS to pick it up, or to pool all your item together for convenience. I am unaware of any pfd-only subscriptions. Doesn't seem necessary.

Subscriptions also Paizo determine how big their initial print run should be. With pdf's that doesn't really matter.

I would also argue that these pdf's are for GM's only. Having a subscription would make it tempting to read them before you play them. (not much of a hurdle, but it exists)

+1! I know THIS is a subscription I would have to have, as well as our FLGS that hosts our games.

Of course, having a subscription or not does not stop a player from reading the scenario (or the DM from not reading it :-/ ). And print runs are not the only function of subscriptions. The rest of the world clamors to sign people up for monthly services because they are dependable sources of revenue.

However, the subscription would help regularly vacuum more money out of our pockets. There are many scenarios I may have ended up paying for if they were automatically delivered to me. I just canceled a Maps subscription because I realized I paid for several that I really was not interested in -> more money to Paizo. If I didn't have a spouse who was watching this stuff a little closer, I could still be getting maps that I would never really consider buying, but yet accept with a shrug and think to myself that "I may use them someday."

Additionally, making it easier for people to buy things is a fundamental principle in sales. Why not extend the subscription model to scenarios if there is an interest? It should be low to no cost to implement (though I am no programmer and may stand corrected - however the subscription infrastructure and auto PDF delivery tech are already in place) with potential modest financial benefits and high intangible benefits like convenience and the appearance of responsive and flexible product delivery.

Seems like a no-brainer to me. To some folks who spend a large amount of time hanging out on this site, it may seem trivial to purchase a scenario the morning it is released. But for the vast non-posting majority of Paizo (and PFS) customers it may actually push product and save us some time and bother.

As the guy in our group that's willing to spend money on the RPG hobby I would enjoy the convenience of a subscription. Adding ($3.99 x 2) per month to my monthly subscription would hardly add much to my bill and would add to the easy of use and play quite a bit.

While I don't run every slot I usually am the purchaser/organizer/liberation/collector of my group. You might say this isn't "fair", but it is what it is. And we are all happy with it.

As someone who runs a lot of modules (I'm sitting about 75% completion, about 90% of them, I was a GM), it's just helpful for me to have all of the modules.

Heck, they could even make "packs" where you can buy all of the Season's modules in one nice neat little big downloadable pack, like all of Season 0 and 1. :)
