I'm looking for some advice from some more experienced players concerning the Half-Illithid template from the Fiend Folio. I'm a first-time GM and I'm hoping that after this adventure we could start one of those things where we each take turns being the GM for one adventure, so I could get a chance to play as well. If that works out I had an idea for a character, and assuming that the new GM for our group would allow it, I would want to be a half-ilithid 'something'.
Basically I was wondering whether its possible to convert that template and make it suitible for a PC in a 4th or 5th level party? Or would it just be easier to use the Mind Flayer creature class in Savage Species?
I am only know aware of the whole WotC/Paizo/IP/Sueing thing. I hope I don't lose my account for this.....
