so, my laggy computer from hell got the better of me this week, and I decided to stick Widows 7 on, using a "clean install" option on the upgrade disk
suffice to say, after the install looped round back to the begining for a 4th time, telling me at one point that my computer didn't HAVE a hard-drive, I ran a system restore
it's now slower, buggyer and crashyer than ever - and, being british and a man, I am taking a very typical solution - after trying it once myself, I am, on tuesday, paying someone to take my computer away, format the hard-drive, and return it. His instruction is to bring it back with "any working version of windows, i don't really care"
