DSi for character info?

i`ve been travelling the 48 for years synce last been to LastGren. BurbankCA, iam pleased to find RPGPathinder, i can enjoy the artwork! iam just wondering, not intending to causeAngst, is it even POSSiBLE that NinDSi could ever be utilized by those at Paizo for AT LEAST `character info', such as a PATHFiNDER DSi cartridge that could function in conjunction with the devices` SD capability?goodday

Is it theoretically possible? Yes.

Is it practical? I don't know, but I seriously doubt there are enough DS/DSi owners who don't also have a smartphone or something to make the cost of developing and manufacturing a 'Pathfinder RPG: Character Info' cartridge worthwhile for whoever would undertake it.

That said, there are 'flash carts' that will run homebrew software on the DS. It may be possible that there is an amateur programmer somewhere who also plays Pathfinder and has a DS with flashcart and will think this a good enough idea to write it as a hobby -- I wouldn't count on it though. A goog search for "ds programming" or similar phrases will likely find sites where DS programmers congregate -- If you're going to go looking for one, good luck!

I don't know, there are over 125 million DS systems out there.

Personally I'd love a cart I could pop into my DS and have things like that on, it's very usable platform. Much rather have something on that format then a smart phone thing as I don't have a smart phone.
