Subscription Questions

I am interested in starting a subscription, specifically with the Flip Maps line. Some questions first, if you please.

1) When is the billing date for the subscription (i.e. when is the money removed from my account)? This is important to me mainly for budgeting purposes.

2) Are the Map Packs a separate subscription? I am also interested in these products as well.

3) Can they be shipped and/or billed together, if that is the case? This will save me some on shipping I am sure, but mainly this means I only have to look for one package a month?

And 4) Is this a monthly subscription? Or is it bi-monthly?

Hi Arnim,

I don't work for Paizo Customer Service, but I do subscribe to the GameMastery Flip-Mats/Map Packs line, so I think I can answer some of your questions.

1) The billing date doesn't seem to be precise, I remember asking a similar question (a while back) and they couldn't pin it down to a specific date. However, having said all that, Cosmo, Sara, and maybe Lilith might be able to provide a more specific answer.

2)The Flip-Mats/Map Packs are the same subscription. It's usually one month you get a Flip-Mat, then next month a Map Pack...

3)...and that leads into your next question, so yes you'd only have to look for one package a month.

4) Heh heh, looks like I answered questions 2-4 ... with a possible answer for #1. Hope this helps.

We don't have an exact billing date for subscriptions unfortunately. Occasionally stuff arrives from the printer earlier or later than we expect and often the arrival date is different every month.

The subscription is "GameMastery Maps" and includes both flip-mats and map packs. If you look at the Product Schedule page you can see which type is coming up.

If you decided to get an Adventure Path subscription, you could choose to combine the shipping of other items/subscriptions with that. Otherwise you have the option to ship with "monthly" shipments which wait until we have all the items from your subscriptions that we think we are going to get in for the month before shipping.

The Maps subscription is a monthly subscription, which is to say, we aim for 12 per year however, some times we might miss a month and rarely we have two a month.

Would it be possible to set up a static payment schedule? That is to say, a date that the money is removed, regardless of if the item has shipped yet? I get paid bi-monthly, on the same dates every month. I budget around those 15 day pay periods (sometimes longer, sometimes shorter) to make sure the money lasts from one to the next.

Unfortunately not. We are only able to settle charges when we actually ship the product. Since shipping times can vary, so can billing times.

Okay... count me in! I just signed up for the Flip-Mats subscription to see how I like it. I am usually not a "subscriber" kind of person, preferring to deal with people face to face and support our local game store. But this one time, I'll give it a go!
