Its not linked to Thanksgiving except that its the first day after Thanksgiving. The reason being, thats the day the Christmas season is more or less assumed to officially start.
I actually tend to start my christmas shopping in October in order to stretch out the expense, and don't participate in the Friday rush. But there are a lot of sales that day, starting early in the morning.

I had a question on your ultimate spell decks:
question 1: I notice that you have updated the decks, and have labeled your decks "UPDATED AND MODIFIED!!!!" does this include the latest APG spells?

question 2: Buyers who have purchased the ultimate decks previously online, do they automatically get the updated decks?
The reason I ask, is as a prior buyer, I religiously goto the online stores and check for updated versions of products I buy, and the Ultimate decks have never been on that list.
question 3: Is this a bug on the online store? Or is it a problem since I bought your bundle rather than the individual products?
BTW, love the cards! (And so did Kinkos, after I paid them to have them printed out on card stock!!) Great product!!

Yes that is handled direct from what every site you downloaded them from.
