GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH! My Yankees have failed- And to TEXAS!! People are getting FIRED for this!!!!!!!!!!!
Ah yes! The Boys of Bankruptcy BEAT DOWN the Mighty Bank of Baseball. It must be tough for Yankee Nation to lose to a team with a payroll of a $150 million dollars LESS. $207 to $55 million. Oh and $10 million of that was left OFF the roster in Feldman and Harden.
THAT'S gotta be tough to swallow. :)

I knew there was something wrong with you, and now I know what it is. You are a Yankee fan. ;)

Who are these Rangers that you speak of - are they some kind of American Basketball team ;-b
It's kinda a feeder team for players like A Rod and Mark Texiera to work stuff out til they go to the Yankees, where Jesus will pay their contract money.
Cept, now they're in the World Series, bay bee!!!

Now the Giants need to make it so we can have a World Series face-off of Unlikely Long Shots.
If this happens, I will be quite happy- it means God is watching out for the little guy.
If this does not happen, I'm taking a louisville slugger to the roster of my team, because there was no excuse. It's the frakkin' RANGERS.

So, the Rangers will be taking on the Giants in the World Series. Well, I'll be cheering for the Rangers. Not because the Giants beat the Phillies mind you, but only because I vastly prefer Texas to California.
My wife mourns for her Phillies. As usual this time of year, I'm kind of apathetic, since my team is already "preparing" for next year. I'll probably throw in for the Rangers.

Yeah, I'm sure a lot of the guys at my work will be bummed out. I'm only an occasional baseball watcher, so it doesn't bother me as much. Still, it was a bummer to see them take it all the way down to the wire last night, and lose it at the last.

Apparently, God rolled a double zero on his baseball check.
Me, I'm rooting for the Giants, because everything Cali got that was good originally came from NY.

Actually, all that California has that is good doesn't grow well in New York's climate.

I would like the Rangers to go forth and conquer, however. I went to the first game (exhibition) played in the current stadium (beautiful place to take in a ballgame, btw - maybe not so much in August, though...), and have had the opportunity to talk baseball with Nolan Ryan a time or two (really nice guy), and, though I'm originally from New York, the Giants left more than a decade before I was born. And Texas is from, um, you know...
Best of luck to both teams, though. It's exciting to see "outsiders" competing for the title. Sometimes management and hustle beats bank and bling. :)

Ah, I see what you did there! LOL!!!

As much as I am still gnashing my teeth in frustration over the roster, I think this will be a good world series. And talking with Nolan Ryan must have been AWESOME.

As a former New Yorker (always a New Yorker) and continual Yankee's fan, I can't say I'm too upset, honestly. Teams that beat the Yanks always try to make the victory seem even sweeter by citing payroll discrepancies, total win records, etc, but I for one am really happy for the Rangers. I wish them the best of luck. So no, it's not really tough to be a Yankee's fan and see the team lose. We've won before (many, many times) and will do so again (many, many more). There's no reason the Rangers shouldn't get their shot as well.
