I would like to suggest that Paizo introduce PDF Bundles and PDF Subscriptions that include a discount for those of us who find shipping costs of physical product too high and / or simply don't have the shelf space to accomodate hardcopies. Also for those who simply just prefer PDF only.
For example Bundle 1 could be the 3.5 PF Campaign Setting Books:
Pathfinder Chronicles: Guide to Korvosa (OGL)
Pathfinder Chronicles: Gazetteer (OGL)
Pathfinder Chronicles: Guide to Darkmoon Vale (OGL)
Pathfinder Chronicles: Campaign Setting (OGL)
Pathfinder Chronicles: Gods & Magic (OGL)
Pathfinder Chronicles: Into the Darklands (OGL)
Pathfinder Chronicles: Guide to Absalom (OGL)
Pathfinder Chronicles: Dark Markets—A Guide to Katapesh (OGL)
Pathfinder Chronicles: The Great Beyond—A Guide to the Multiverse (OGL)
Pathfinder Chronicles: Classic Monsters Revisited (OGL)
Pathfinder Chronicles: Dragons Revisited (OGL)
Pathfinder Chronicles: Dungeon Denizens Revisited (OGL)
These would cost $181.88, but a 50% discount may encourage someone to purchase all these (as opposed to just cherry picking the ones they want and spending less overall).
I would also suggest a PDF subscription for each of the lines (Campaign, Companions, APs), maybe have the bundles contain everything in those lnes up to the point you launch the subscription offer.
Would this be a possibility?

My search-fu is weak but they've already said a big NO to PDF only subscriptions.
They make most of their money from the hard copies and if folks started ordering PDF's only then they wouldn't be able to sustain the hard covers.. and so the PDF's also would disappear. (as would the company).
Fair enough, if it really is that bad. At least there is some discount on the PDF versions of books, I guess I will be cherry picking!

While this doesn't help for OLD products, the subscriptions do come with a free PDF. I see you mentioned shipping costs etc., and while it is still rather expensive, I am a Pathfinder superscriber and my shipping is generally only $7 on average a month, and no tax. In addition all the books are at least 15% off, and I get the free PDF. With all that I think it's a pretty good deal.
I think I've run the average cost per month and it ends up being about $65 a month when accounting for all the RPG hardcovers etc. Expensive, but I love the Paizo materials!

Unfortunately I have two problems:
1) I am in the UK and I imagine postage is going to be significant2) I physically do not have any shelf space to spare, I will struggle to fit in even the campaign guide when it comes out. Hence my interest in PDFs.
I think in terms of cherry picking I will try to pick up:
Pathfinder Chronicles: Guide to Darkmoon Vale (OGL) - because I thought my PFS PC would come from this area.
Pathfinder Chronicles: Guide to Absalom (OGL) - because this is the base city of PFS characters
Pathfinder Chronicles: Seekers of Secrets—A Guide to the Pathfinder Society (PFRPG) - for PFS :)
Pathfinder Chronicles: Faction Guide (PFRPG) - again, relevant to PFS
Pathfinder Campaign Setting: World Guide—The Inner Sea (PFRPG) Hardcover - base campaign guide.
Altogether $53.96 plus whatever the pdf for the campaign guide will be. Not too bad, a good grounding I guess.

Being international definitely changes the situation. Not even sure how to estimate the shipping (although you can through making a "test" shopping cart and go halfway through completing the order), but I think UK has VAT as well, so that's another burden. Like others have said, I doubt that Paizo will do PDF bundles, simply because of the impact on the print business.
Maybe they'll end up coming out with PDF bundles of their older products that have gone out of print? Although this might take some time for enough things to go OOP.
