Chronicles: Pathfinder Podcast
Episode #008 Kingmaker 1: Stolen Land with Tim Hitchcock
This episode is dedicated to all things Kingmaker. The hosts call upon Jason Bulmahn and James Jacobs for a special rules clarification concerning the Alchemist. Azmyth and Steel_Wind address a serious matter we call Gamers without Borders. On the Character Concept Workshop, Research builds an enhanced Druid grappler who is a member of the Order of the Viper. On the Monster Mash, Mark converts the Sylph and two evil fey of special interest to those playing in the Kingmaker Adventure Path. We discuss the Kingmaker Player Guide at length and the hosts make suggestions on appropriate character classes for use in the Paizo award winning Adventure Path. Tim Hitchcock, the Gold medalist at the Gencon 2010 Ennies and author of Kingmaker 1: Stolen Land joins us for interviews in the Companion and for an encore interview during the spoilerific Chronicles section of the podcast. We feature a new musical track by Satyr, intended for listening by player characters of at least 4th level and host CherryPie memorializes two of the Fallen in our Stolen Lands: Obituaries. Lastly, Steel_Wind and the rest of the podcast hosts review Kingmaker 1: Stolen Land in epic detail. It is a huge sandbox of a podcast, weighing in at over four hours plus of geeky Kingmaker goodness.

So stoked! and sad :( I am a player in KM right now. For the 1st time I will have to stay out of the juicy GM only bits.
Or should I stay away completely Steel?
The Player's part is great for KM players. We don't let spoilers in (or at least - nothing of any consequence) into the Player's Companion part of the podcast.
Chronicles half? Different story. We gave more warnings in this Episode than any other - by far. So much so, I expect people to sned me a few "gimme a break already- I GET IT" messages. :)

Really looking forward to this one - I'll check it out later today. I usually GM, but this will be the first cast I'm listening to with my player hat on. While I mourn the loss of a couple of hours of spoilerific content I can't listen to, I'm happy that my GM will benefit from your insights and create a better game for me :-).

In fairness, I'm a player in the Kingmaker AP too. Accordingly, the second half of the cast will "spoil" Stolen Land, but unlike our AP discussion and review of the Council of Thieves AP instalments, the Chronicles section for our Kingmaker episodes are not presented on a forward-looking basis.
Accordingly, if you are playing in a Kingmaker campaign but have finished Kingmaker 1: Stolen Land and have moved on to later books in the AP, you can listen to the Chronicles section of Episode #008 without fear of spoilers giving away things in later volumes of the Kingmaker AP.
Please note that the same approach is not used in our Council of Thieves AP podcasts. The Chronicles section of Episode #006 of the cast contains spoilers for the entire Council of Thieves AP.

Our KM game is a few sessions into Book 2, Rivers Run Red.
The nature of the open ended design allows fewer plot elements to ruin future installments.
My guess would be that the further you get into the tale, the harder it will be to contain spill over from book to book!
I have (no pun intended) planted many plot devices in book one that will grow into two, three and beyond...
