- General provided notes to Kassata with information about activating the spires to invade Ilmerea

- Spoke with Izon about joining the assault

Session 79

- Began activating the spires
- In the Farm district, assassins attacked. All death attacks hit, but all made their saves (2 got the DC exactly)
- The spires activate, drilling into the ground allowing passage for the armies
- Cyclops, Pirates, Charauka, Sargava descend through Military district
- Human tribe and Pathfinders descend through Mercantile district to join up with morlocks
- Mantis and Aspis descend through Residential district to join up with urdefhen.
- Battle is joined as the central force fights through the streets of serpentfolk, giving passage to the Sanctum to the party.

XP:
- 4 Coils of Ydersius (CR 13, 25600xp) = 102400xp

Total XP: 102400 (divided by 4)

Rath told me Venthal is still not available.

Unless there is a strong expressed desire to still play without your cleric, we'll postpone again. Rath thinks Venthal will be available on 9/7.

Rath informed me that he is not available for this Sunday (still on the post-launch schedule).

He said there were strong indications that Venthal's schedule would normalize at the end of September.

This being so close to the end, I'd personally prefer that everyone be available for the sessions.

Hopefully just 2 more. Maybe.

So, trying again, on 9/21. But currently I'm expecting Venthal to not be available for that one. We'll see.

Vyr Azul has been vanquished, but Trini lies dead from poison, Lini has been sent to another plane, Droogami is not accepting commands, and Ydersius himself in climbing from the pit from which he was sent so long ago.

Kavi will try to raise Trini as Venthal, Igori and Droogami face the risen god, in the hope that Trini's prowess can make the difference in stopping this ancient threat from casting the world back into another age of darkness.

Find out in another two weeks!

Just a heads up, I'm doing some office work today. I'm hoping it doesn't interfere with our start time.

As for things going pear shaped last session, I have some ideas of how to brings things back to a point of hope. Also, Kavi is hoping to get Trini raised during the fight.

The caster and fighter serpentfolk from the Fortress had teleported away when the morlocks went on their rampage. I placed them at the final fight to add more challenge.

The fighter and huge snake companion were dispatched easily. Vyr Azul and the caster tried to disable/destroy some heroes, but everyone was making their saves... until the caster strode forward and cast prismatic spray.

The druid was sent to Elysium, and the summoner dropped dead from poison...

The cleric was caught in a force cage. The witch flew up and dimension door'd him out. The high priest and caster were finally vanquished. But Ydersius was climbing out of the pit... the alchemist blows his last load of alchemy bombs to weaken him.

The Tempest felt the druid leave the fight and asked their common patron, Gozreh, for assistance. The male and female voices guided the cleric to use the gate scroll on the dead priest's body to call the druid back. the witch began casting raise dead on the summoner.

Ydersius climbs out of the pit, and unleashes his frightful presence. The cleric and the animal companion move to intercept. The druid summoned a celestial purple worm but is blocked by the unholy aura. The cleric and companion, both heavily buffed, manage to cause heavy damage to Ydersius despite his unholy aura, his attempt to turn the companion into a viper, and his blasphemy.

Melee blows continue and Ydersius is taken down without causing any real melee damage to the group. The summoner is finally raised. Eventually they sever his head, sending his thrashing body back into the depths of the chasm from which he crawled, back to where Savith sent him 10000 years before.
