Would it take up both of our turns if, I pulled you out or just mine? Plus pulling you out is a full round action, you may get out quicker swimming, but then again if you try and swim and do not make it can still pull you out.
It would take Dram's action, leaving Ash kneeling but able to act this round. Monkey Demons are getting hungry!!!!
Jyx
Jyx sees the weird creature approaching Balam, and decides she doesn't like it AT ALL. Balam shifts and asks her to attack the weird creature from behind. She circles around and tries to bite the creature.
Attack:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Damage:1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
The attack includes +1 for flanking

Crisk says to the monkey demon #7 "I wish you grave misfortune". The Monkey Demon looks puzzled, and then terrified, realizing he has crossed a shaman!!! [Failed save]
Trying not to panic, Ash tries to "swim" his way out, but the thick sand holds him fast. Warily eying the attackers, Dram pulls Ash from the mire. Balam sees the approaching demons and shifts into a leopard. He tells Jyx to take a circuitous route and attack the demon from behind. Jyx sees the weird creature approaching Balam, and decides she doesn't like it AT ALL. She circles around and bites the creature, leaving a ragged bloody wound.
The monkey demons react with shrieks of rage!!!! All they wanted was some food, maybe some metal, and you react with violence?!?!?! MD1 begins to chant and beat a drum, and the resolve of the MDs around the party seems to strengthen. MD2 & 3 blow their horns and caper about, while MD4 & 5 attack the big cats with their spears (MD4 Attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15, Damage 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5, MD5 Attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7, Damage 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4). MD6 takes a swipe at Dram while his back is turned (MD6 Attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14, Damage 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4), while MD7 flees into the high grass, quickly becoming lost to sight. MD8 and 9 loft arrows at Ash (MD8 Attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14, Damage 1d4 ⇒ 4, MD9 Attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10, Damage 1d4 ⇒ 1) while MD10, emitting a series of grunts and growls shuffles through the grass, his obsidian headed war club clenched tightly, raised for a killing blow….
Vykral
vykral begins to try to talk to the monkeys in front of her, "Wait why are we fighting?"
she steps east 10' and draws her whip readying an action to attack the monkey 6 if it approaches. Not sure if diplomacy with the monkeys will work but here ya go 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12. Man the dice do not like this this character.
Crisk Rao
If Vykral's diplomacy doesn't work using Misfortune on m5. If the diplomacy does work will pend my action and I will cackle either way extending the misfortune on m7 another round
Assuming below it doesn't work.
Crisk says to the monkey demon #5 "You will have misfortune as well!" Crisk hexes the demon with Misfortune.
Anytime the creature makes an ability check, attack roll, saving
throw, or skill check, it must roll twice and take the worse
result. A Will save negates this hex.
Monkey Demons needs to make a will save against dc 16.
Balam Ixhuay
Balam is oblivious to the dialogue going on around him focusing on the demon right in front of him.
All attacks are done using power attack, and include +1 for flanking.
Bite Attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Damage:1d6 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Claw Attack 1:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Damage:1d3 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Claw Attack 2:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Damage:1d3 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
If the demon dies from either the bite or first claw attack please apply the remaining attack(s) to the demon in front of Vykral
Edit: Crit Confirmation:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Re-Edit: Fixed the attacks for power attacking. I forgot my BAB isn't +4 yet :)
Jyx
Working in tandem with her nahaul Jyx attacks the demon in front of her.
All attacks are power attacks, and include a +1 for flanking. If Balam killed the first demon Jyx instead takes a 5ft step, and attacks the demon in front of Vykral.
Bite Attack:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Damage:1d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Claw Attack 1:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Damage:1d4 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Claw Attack 2:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Damage:1d4 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Vykral begins to try to talk to the monkeys in front of her, "Wait why are we fighting?". The MD facing her gets a puzzled look, mostly because it has never tried to kill a female before. Crisk says to the monkey demon #5 "You will have misfortune as well!". A loud cackle escapes his lips as the demon attempts to retreat in terror, but is torn apart by Jyx. Dram’s blades flash in the humid sunshine, drawing cries of pain as they bite deep into the flesh of the demon he faces, slaying it instantly. Ash raises his sword overhead, bronze blade gleaming amidst the tall grass, waiting for his time to strike. The jaguar-Balam makes short work of demon he can reach, and the marsh is filled with the coppery smell of spilled blood, and the earthy smell of entrails.
Most of the MDs flee from this new terror, chattering wildly in their pidgin tongue. The charging warrior, oblivious to aught else but his blood lust, looses a blood curdling war cry as he begins to swing his war club. A war cry that is quickly turned to confused gurgling as Ash’s heavy blade sends the foe crashing to the loamy earth.
And then?
DM Ender
@ Vykral- Your extensive knowledge of the natural world does you no good here. :)
@ Dram- You don't find much- stone tipped short spears (3), some crude jewelery made from stones, bones, and cords, and an atlatl.
@ Crisk- what info are you seeking with your check? If it is mor eor less the same as Vyks (what ARE they?)
The day is still fairly young, and you have much ground to cover, but as has been pointed out, leaving angry critters behind to ambush your compatriots may not be the best plan.
DM Ender
Glad I gave that option then :)
The party re-starts it's journey, tracking carefully around the quick sand. The day is hot and humid, the slight breeze captured by the grass before alleviating the heat. The steady drone of insects, and call of birds and other animals resound through he marsh. Boots fill with muddy water, feet shrivel, pack straps cut into shoulders, seemingly gaining weight as the day goes on.
As the sun begins to fall in the sky, Ash notices a small cairn along the path, topped with a skull that appears to be from a monkey demon.

"I don't know, it looks to me like his friends were able to bury him, so it would seem there is no urgent threat here. Let's leave it be, and keep moving." While talking, Ash looks over the mound, and searches the ground nearby for any signs of what happened here.
Perception1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
Survival1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Ashwatthama
"Hold on," Ash says, hand raised to the others as he inspects the ground. "Hmmmmmm . . . it actually looks like some snake like creature created the cairn . . . maybe Nagas?" After a moment, he looks up. "Perhaps the skull is meant to scare the monkey demons away, to keep them from plundering the grave?"
Patrick - Are you aware of Rob McCreary's creation of monkey-goblins a few years back for the RPG SuperStar competition? Or is this just coincidence? I was in a homebrew pbp Rob briefly ran before joining Paizo, and played a gnome ranger who had a hatred of the little buggers. I can feel him wanting to come out.

haha, I wish I could say I had heard of them, may give some class to my hodge podge little critter. So, you're a serial ranger player, eh? I'll keep that in mind... muwahahaa..
