I'm also looking to try Pathfinder Society OP in the Milwaukee Area.
I can be reached at design@adastragames.com
You're in the MKE area? Get out! So am I.
On that note, I tried looking up PFR Society around here but the only signs of life were a group that supposedly met at CavGames. Their last website update was...not recent. Anywho, I'd def. be interested in giving pathfinder society a try as well.

Yeah, I live downtown on Farwell and Brady.

@Ad Astra: I'm in Tosa. 61st and North. So, if I manage to get organized and read all the materials, etc., you'd be down with Pathfinder Society?
Yeah, if you can find a place to play.
My transportation situation is bad. (Legally blind). I'd need a ride.
And yeah, I'm closer to East Side than downtown. I'm in the interference zone between just slightly inconvenient student housing for both Marquette and UW-Milwaukee.

Gotcha. There's homework I need to do first as well; I've often started looking at PFS but then thought "man, I'm not going through this just so I can play once a year at GenCon or whatever." and abandoned it. However, if I know there's some chance of starting something local then it'd be worth it.

Hey guys, just to let you know an update to my earlier posts. I have been running a game here in the Milwaukee area on and off for awhile.
There is a good group of players here but they all seem to play in home games or at the three or four local conventions. A lot of the old LG and current LFR players are also playing Pathfinder. The Milwaukee meetup hasn't played any Society scenarios that I am aware of except the Master of the Fallen Fortress. And I think the Cav Games thing fell apart when they went out of business.
Let me know if you guys ever want to get together for some scenarios. I am also in Tosa (near 118th and North). I only have a few players, so we are always looking for more.

*sputter* How did I not know about this? :-( There are a couple days I couldn't make, but I should stop by that biz.

So CavGames IS out of business! Man it was impossible to tell for a while. People kept telling me "no they just moved to the other side of the highway." and I was like "then why is all their online info dated the last time I saw them actually open in their old location?"
For my part, I'm already DMing two campaigns IRL, 3 people in one group, 5 in another, and now I'm running 2 PBPs here on the boards, so as much as I love DMing, mostly I'm looking to PLAY for once. So I'd love to join you for some gaming at some point. Anything coming up on your schedule at all in the next couple months when I could barge in? At the very least I always bring good snacks. :-) Feel free to email me at downrightamazed AT gmail.
But yeah, in addition, I'll actually pull down the PFS stuff and see what's what. That'd be worthwhile.

Cav Games is MOVED to my knowledge. It's on the other side of Silverspring, and is now SILVER SPRING HOBBY AND GAMES.
Also, I'm a college student at UWM looking for a game too join, and I'm willing to meet people and travel some to play. I tried to start a game in college, but everyone is either noobs, just plain bad, or too busy. Please send me a message if you're interested in gaming! :D

Ohhhh! That explains it. They should, you know, mention that somewhere. Like on this fancy "world wide web" I keep hearing about. :-p
How do you wish to be messaged? Is there a messaging function on these boards? I've never thought to check...

If I wasn't stationed here in Tampa, my wife and I would probably take ya'll up on playing there. Her and her family are from the South Milwaukee/Oak Creek area.
No foolin'! Oh man, small world.
Tampa's alright! I've been there a couple times, never had a bad time in that town. Tallahassee was also surprisingly fun. Miami, on the other hand, I can live with out.

Wow same here how did I not see/hear about this? I've been at both Game Universes and Adventures in Gaming and saw nothing about this =(
Also, If anyone gets a Milwaukee Area Pathfinder Society PLEASE let me know! I run more games then I play (I get to play once a month at the D&D meetup and run 2-3 games a week) so I would REALLY like to play!

Really! That's a drag. Man, we've easily got enough folks on here to get a game together, we should make it happen, see if we all get along IRL. ;-)
My only barrier to PFS, I will readily admit, is pure laziness. It just seems there's a lot of hoo-ha to download and conform to and man, I just wanna game, nawmean? But by the same token, the idea of having character(s) that I can just plug into a PFS game basically anywhere is rather appealing.

Anyone who's interested in this, please email me at:

I'll see about trying to organize something. I am willing to be the 'organizer' on this, but I probably won't be able to run things. I can, however, maintain the contact lists and send out the email blasts to remind people when and where we meet.
For me to attend I will need transportation. I'm legally blind.

Well we could always try an adventure path or a module but I like the idea of being able to carry my character with me. I played some living games late 90's and enjoyed being able to road trip to Chicago for some little con and not have to defend my character. But on the other hand I've been drooling over the new Adventure Path!

I got Ad Astra's email but GMail is blocked at this gig so I can't reply (or at least not meaningfully) until tonight. In short, I am more than willing to host people at my house if they'd be comfortable with it. I regularly host gaming parties of six people so four would be no problem. My SO and I live in Tosa, 61st and North, so we're in a pretty central location, IMO.
That being said, if there is neutral ground available where people would be more comfortable, I have no problem driving elsewhere and can help with transportation if needed.

Hey! I would love to play in a game that someone else Gm's. :)
I live on the UWM Campus. :)
I'd need a ride, though.

I live at Brady and Farwell, so reasonably close - and someone will already need to give me a lift.
Email me at design AT adastragames (dot) com and I'll add you to the distribution list.
