I'm trying to make a new prestige class based off of summoning powerful magic weapons and armor for my campaign right now, but I don't quite want to start yet. I'm wondering if anyone has any good guidelines for making balanced prestige classes; I'm nervous that I'll either make a crappy class that no one will want to play or a broken one that will destroy every combat encounter I throw.
