Just finished reading the Guide to Korvosa (haven't read the Curse of the Crimson Throne yet), and I was outraged, OUTRAGED! by Korvosa's anti-labor union-busting policies. As a shop-floor steward for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 25 in this Material Plane, I would urge all working men and women and friends of labor, regardless of race, species or planar affiliation to join me in a boycott of all things Korvosan until the laborers of Korvosa win recognition of their rights.
Down with the bloated plutocrats, soft-handed bankers and rapacious raksashas! All power to the Ironsoots! Picket lines mean don't cross!

There is power in a factory, power in the land
Power in the hands of a worker
But it all amounts to nothing if together we don't stand
There is power in a Union
Now the lessons of the past were all learned with workers' blood
The mistakes of the bosses we must pay for
From the cities and the farmlands to trenches full of mud
War has always been the bosses' way, sir
The Union forever defending our rights
Down with the blackleg, all workers unite
With our brothers and our sisters from many far off lands
There is power in a Union
Now I long for the morning that they realise
Brutality and unjust laws can not defeat us
But who'll defend the workers who cannot organise
When the bosses send their lackies out to cheat us?
Money speaks for money, the Devil for his own
Who comes to speak for the skin and the bone
What a comfort to the widow, a light to the child
There is power in a Union
The Union forever defending our rights
Down with the blackleg, all workers unite
With our brothers and our sisters together we will stand
There is power in a union

Comrades!
The voice of the enemy is honeyed and sweet!
He whispers enticing words to dull your senses and lull you into a stupor!
While he quotes from socialist folksingers in our Material Plane, Kajehase comes to us in the image of...Lord Glorio Arkona! Does he think we are stupid? Does he think we are imbeciles? DOES HE THINK WE DON'T KNOW
Brothers and sisters, don't be fooled! All that the decadent nobility and obscurantist clergy can provide you with is chains! Only the Commonwealth Party of Galt (Marxist-Leninist) can lead the workers to peace, plenty and more reasonably priced magic items!
Workers, peasants (and goblins) of Golarion, unite!

Are you saying I should have gone with A New England or Between the Wars instead?
I don't know if you're aware of this or not, but
Anyway, if you weren't a decadent lord of Korvosa, I would tell you that I prefer This Guitar Says Sorry.

I'd forgotten about the picture in Guide to Korvosa until your initial denouncement, but I like to play the straight man when I can (which some skin-headed guys at my old school who didn't realise that flared trousers could be worn by heterosexual men would have found funny).
And my personal favourites are 13th of February and Tank Park Salute - still can't heR it without tearing up a bit.
Hmmm... I seem to have derailed the topic even further.

In my opinion, there are few places more ripe for Union representation than Falcon's Hollow. The men and woman who support the lumber industry there are bled dry for a mere pittance. How ironic in the "land of freedom" lies this capitalistic cesspool of oppression.

Or they put a hit on you, and some unscrupulous hitman kills you for the money.
I think I'll by myself a new sword.

But...
For some reason the paladins of Iomedae tried to assassinate the King once and they brought down laws restricting their movements and numbers but they brought that on themselves, right? And I heard once that Blackjack's gone into hiding and that's why she's not shown up since after the paladins were restricted but that can't be right, Blackjack's always worked for the good of the people and the King's been good for the people, right?
Right?
Besides, we've done better than some silly little union could get us. We're happy, aren't we?
