One of my players is wanting to take Disable Device as a SOR by burning a feat. He is claiming that since there is no ROG in the party, I should allow him to do this as "it is my fault there is no ROG." I am saying one of them should of played a ROG, or that he should just take a level in it and quite complaining. What do you all think? Should trained only skills be available as feats to PC's? At what level? Should they need to find a trainer?
Umm anyone can take a trained only skill. It costs 1 skill point per rank like all other skills. The only difference in trained or untrained is the amount or ranks. However some skill can not be used untrained so you must at lest have 1 rank in it.
Your sorcerer can take disable device just as anyone else can. It costs 1 skill point. If it is a class skill ya get a one time +3 to it but anyone can take any skill and most skills may be used untrained.
