Anyway im writing a new PHB and DMG based on the oldest D&D version. It will allow you to play Humans, Dhwergher (a randomly generatable progenitor to Elves, Dwarves, Trolls, Giants, Ogres, Fairies, Banshee - you will be able to play an exisitng subspecies or a Unique Dhwergher), Or Ku (one of the subspecies - Goblin, Kobold, Pooka, Gremlin, or a unique Ku).
The Adventure to be included will be the megadungeon from which the Dhwergher were spawned in the dark dim past...
It should take me till next year to complete the project but will anyone be interested when i'm done? Its free. I'm doing it for the fun of the game.

FAIRY (DHWERGHER/ALBHO/FAIRY)

+5 Damage from Iron Weapons/Save vs Poison and take 1hp/round until cure poison.

• Glamour -10pt
• See in Darkness 60’ -5pt
• Near Invisibility -5pt
Description: Savage tiny little winged critters. They appear like miniature humans until the Glamour wears off. Then they are Grey little critters with a mouth full of pirana teeth, Barbed legs, claws and a hunger that doesnt stop.
Primary Abilities (Fairy): Dexterity, Charisma
Still considering if the 'Iron is Poison' is restricted to Sidhe...or all Albho.
POOKA (KU/GOBELIN/GOBLIN/POOKA)

• Known Ku Subspecies (Gobelin) +10pt
-5 to hit and saves when underground.
• Enviro-Restriction (Subterranean) +10pt
At a total disadvantage underground. Finds it very difficult to stay focused in such environments. Needs to be led like a horse or succumbs to paralysis. Powers will not function here.
• Feared & Despised`+5pt

• Animal Form (Horse) -15pt
• Selective Invisibility -15pt
• See in Darkness 30’ -0pt
Description: The Pooka is a Goblin of Horse form that dwells in Bogs and Fens. It is a notorious trouble maker either Mischievous or Malevolent in purpose.

Description: These are not the Monstrous superpredators predators of the Icefields or Swamps, they are a Somewhat more intelligent Urban Dwelling Twerg. The 'Urban Troll' has come to live in the subterranea of Modern cities and hunt outdoors only during Mistfall, Fogshroud and Wintersnow that drowns northern cities for part of the year for food. Their Lairs will be in Magical communities hidden within Human Cities.

I have been working on a similar project. Again, for the love of the game rather than as a commercial project. (Curretly in a limited beta test with dedicated selection of gamers before I make it widely available).
What you have so far looks great. I will be following your progress with interest. Keep up the good work.

Keep in mind that while 3.x was released as SRD, AD+D itself is a property licensed out to the folks who make Hackmaster. So it's status might be a bit different.
Its not AD&D...its Original D&D that came in 3 books (Men and Magic...)The Fourty year old D&D that is now so close to being out of Copyright and Trade Mark it may already be.
Give it ten years and D&D Original will be public property.

I've moved beyond the whole D&D Engine as well - though you will in the end be able to convert it to D&D/Pathfinder if you prefer, It is going to be using my Kriegspiel Role Play Game Engine (Work in Progress).
Awesome...now we have this nifty engine that will be very easy to play with.
GNOME (EARTH ELEMENT/GNOME)

Size: 6 inches tall
• Elemental Spawn (Earth) +5pt
Must remain in contact with prefered Element at all time.
SUBTOTAL +20pt
This grants a Gnome the ability to simply see ahead - predicting the consequences of his own actions.
Description: The Gnome is spawned of the Earth Element and may pass through the earth element as though it were air. Their small size (6 inches) and their ability to see the consequences of their actions give them a unique perspective on the world.
Primary Abilities (Gnome): Wisdom, Dexterity
