Spontaneous divine casters

Homebrew and House Rules

So, soon starting up a campaign with a couple of "newbies". One has played roleplaying games before, but not d20, and the others have played some CRPGs but nothing p'n'p. All of them are in it more for the RP than the tactical combat, I think.

I wanted to keep it relatively rules-light and quick to run, and preparing divine casters every day can take a very long time - especially with new players who'd need guidance every day. Spont. casters may need more thought when created, but I have no problem giving advice there - when they've chosen their spells, it's pretty simple for them to run.

I was thinking of converting all the divine casters to spontaneous ones. The wizard is special and gets to be special, but I'll not encourage players to play as a wizard but in that case rather as a sorcerer or bard. I'll go with KQ's spell-less ranger, but the cleric, the druid, and the paladin would need to be "spontanosized".

The question is, how many spells/level and spells/day should I give them? So far, this is what I've come up with:

Cleric - Knows spells equal to current spells/day+1 plus domain spells (no bonus for high wis), plus cure/inflict spells. Can cast current spells/day+2 of each level. A 1st level cleric with 16 wis would know 4 orisons and 2 1st level spell, plus her two domain spells, plus stabilize/bleed and cure/inflict light wounds. She'd cast 4 orisons and 4 1st level spells.
Druid - As cleric, but instead of knowing cure/inflict spells, knows Summon Nature's Ally. If the druid has a domain, knows those spells.
Paladin - Knows spells equal to current spells/day+2 of each level. Casts as current spells/day+1 of each level. 4th level paladin with 16 cha would know 2 1st level spells and cast 2 1st level spells/day.

Are these decent numbers? They feel a little low, but I'm not sure. Spontaneous casting is a very useful thing, but divine casters usually rely on versatility even more than arcane casters do.

Suggestions?

Nice! Don't know how I missed that.
