If you do some searching around, you'll find this answered quite a few times.
Basically, if you don't want to have to convert a handful of prestige classes to Pathfinder RPG, you should wait.
The revised version has the goal of expanding the book and updating the mechanics, but specifically in a way that doesn't make the old book 100% obsolete.

There is an updated version of the Campaign Setting (like the first, believed to be likely to focus on the Inner Sea) due out early next year (it got pushed back in the schedules due to GenCon madness and the insanity of otherwise having to bring out four hardbacks in a twelve month period). I think there may be a smaller player's primer due out sooner.

Well, the current rule book will be good for fluff, as does Pathfinder Wiki.
