Mountain Rain Forest

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Is there any mountainous rain forest areas with reasonable access to the sea where I could put a coffee plantation? I have looked over the map and nothing really stands out except near the Sodden Lands.

Have you considered locating your coffee plantation further south in Sargava between Desperation Bay and the Bandu Hills?

Or perhaps in southern Varisia in the Fenwall Mountains near the Mushfens? Though it might be too far from the tropics to grow coffee or to sustain a rainforest without resorting to magic.

Frog God Games

"kahveh" is grown at several locations along the Mwangi Coast, primarily parts of the Terwa Uplands and rugged areas of the Kaava Lands. Likely parts of the Bandu Hills would support such crops as well, but the interior is much more hazardous than the coastline making such ventures potentially less profitable. Sargava might have such crops as well, but I haven't read that book in its entirety to know if it's mentioned or not.

That accounts for the majority of the possible locations on the western coast of Garund. There are likely locations along the east coast of Garund and even Casmaron that could support kahveh plantations as well.

Glad to know there are official sources of 'kahveh'. Every once and a while its good to be able to pull out an overcaffinated gnomish alchemist or something of the sort.

Coffee is stated out in 4 Winds Fantasy Luven Lightfinger’s Gear and Treasure Shop which is a terrific book.
