Where can I download Bestiary artwork?

Product Discussion

Is there someplace online where artwork from the Bestiary and other Paizo books can be downloaded?

I use the artwork to create tokens for our online games.

Currently, if I want an image of a monster, I have to do a screen cap of the Bestiary PDF, open the image in Photoshop and then clip out the monster. Not only is it a tedious process, but it's also a little sloppy because bits of the surrounding text and background often get included as well.

It would be a huge benefit if these images were available online, with white or transparent backgrounds.

Does anybody know if such a resource currently exists?
If not, what is the possibility of creating a database of artwork?

Thanks!

You can use images from Paizo blog (quite a few monster pics there). I doubt that Bestiary artwork will be made avaialbe by Paizo free of charge, since artworks costs a ton and is a major selling point of the physical book.

Also, using images other than Blog images is against the CUP, so no fan-made collection possible, either.

However, there are more efficent ways of extracting images than Photoshop screengrabs - look for PDF image extractors, there quite a few of them out there.

Actually they probably will never be made available. James Jacob has stated that since almost all of the actual game material is free OGL, the only reason left for most to buy the books is the art. So publishing the art separate would be a very poor idea.
