Anyone know of a good source for miniatures of Apemen?
I've got a few of the Mageknight "Desert Ape" figures, and I've got a couple of DDM Orc minis that look more like apes than orcs, but aside from that, is there anything out there?
I keep thinking there used to be a company that made a small line of minis of Apes in Roman style armor.

Also, if you're already OK with dismantling plastic collectibles, check out the Heroclix line, mainly the DC side.
DC Comics were notoriously fond of including ape characters, once they realised sales rocketed every time there was an ape on the cover.
They may not all be dressed, and some of them may need guns (Monsieur Mallah) or techno items (Gorilla Grodd) removing, but I'd expect there to be a lot to choose from.
One of DC's crossover events from some years ago was 'JLApe', in which everyone was transformed, so it would be a crime if they didn't produce some clickies to comemorate this.
The thought of a gorilla in a Wonder Woman costume (or, good heavens, Power Girl) just makes me smile...
