I was going to just order my copy of the Advanced Player's Guide from Amazon, but their release date is August 17th. The price on their page is about 10-14 bucks cheaper than on this site, but if I activated an ongoing subscription, would I get the APG sooner than with Amazon? I'd be willing to pay more for it on here if it meant getting it sooner than after August 20th...lol.
Thanks for helping me understand. ;)

Amazon is notoriously slow about getting new Paizo products shipped out, so yes, I can virtually guarantee that you will get your book faster direct from Paizo than by ordering from Amazon. Paizo gets the books in, then ships to the distributor who then ships to Amazon, IIRC, so you've got a built-in delay there. Plus, when the core rulebook came out, Amazon's first shipment wasn't even enough to cover their preorders, so some people waited months to get their copy from Amazon.
In short, if you want to save money, order from Amazon, but if you want your book fast, order from Paizo. :)

FWIW, I used to pre-order some RPG books from Amazon, and while they offer great prices, they are notorious for not having the books available for sale, or shipping the books, until weeks after the books started to show up in my local bookstores.
I've always bought Paizo products directly from them and have taken to usually buying other RPG products from sources other than Amazon, preferably as directly from the publisher as possible.
EDIT: Ninja'd by 20 seconds!
