You know, I've seen that movie so many times that it stopped being funny. That was a couple of years ago, though, and on VHS. The only place you find VHS anymore is behind a beaded curtain...I totally bought Long Kiss Goodnight off Amazon.

When getting my hair up for prom, they got about half of it up, then the hairdressers stopped, looked at each other, and one said, "Now what. We've still got half a head of hair to do something with!"
When I got it dyed (because the natural red wasn't red enough, dammit, whatever you may think!), it was just over shoulder length and it took 3 regular dye batches...

See, I learned something today. It doesn't matter if you're a dogmatist or an anti-dogmatist. Everyone has a middle ground. For most of us that's BttH (B could mean at least two different things here).

My Girls are going to visit the in-laws in Canberra tomorrow and they will be away for the weekend.
I have to stay in Sydney and work at my stupid evil bank :-(
I will be able to buy spare ribs and make my self some salt and pepper ribs :-) (I am normally not allowed as they are bad for me)
And Daisy our cat will still be here to wake me up and demand her breakfast and a pat.
I might get some crap 80's and 90's movies out to watch as well. Mrs 8th Dwarf does not feel that Police Academy, Waynes World ,and Bill and Ted's excellent adventure are the stuff comic genius and I am subject to much harrumphing when I watch them... :-(

Sorry to hear you can't make the trip, but watching cheesy movies helps.
Yeh it is kind of redundant but.... They cancelled our Christmas work party (The Bank Christmas party is very spectacular) because we were making too much money and the bank had put interest rates up just before Christmas and people were understandably upset with the bank... So the Bank punished the people that worked hard for it all year just to look good...

Mostly I just do my best to keep it conditioned, avoid blow drying as much as possible to cut down on frizzy unhappiness, and let it do what it wants to do. This requires keeping it long enough that it doesn't just stick straight out from my head, and keeping it short enough that I don't get a sore neck from the weight (I had problems with that when it was almost down to my waist).
I discovered Kerastase hair products three years ago, and they made a HUGE difference in my hair ( I think it's L'Oreal's premium brand). Also, salons that sell Kerastase have to pass certain tests before they can offer it, so when I find a salon that sells it, I've found a salon that has hairdressers taht can handle unruly curly hair. That's a huge deal to me. At a salon here in Houston I found some conditioning products by Shu Uemura - they all have anti-humectants that cut down on humidity induced frizz - and I've been very happy with them. :)

Heh. I wish it were just imagery. A few minutes after I put it up you start to hear random 'pings' as the pins hit walls and random pieces of furniture that might be in the way. :/
Thanks for the tip on the conditioners. I shall have to keep an eye out for those. I've been using a leave-in conditioner to keep the frizz tamed, but it doesn't do a very good job. I have to resort to a straightening iron to finish the job. :)
