I know! I was making a serious post about a tangentially related topic....but I spent minutes crafting that thing! Arg!

Ouch! Mine was all of a sentence and one extra spare word. I was using the Advanced Pony Tactics feat tax.

No, wait. It's me. We're definitely not talking about the same thing.

I too was looking forward to making another reponse to something I think BT might have said regarding government..we may never agree on such things, but I do find the way his and others mind works to be fascinating.

Vacuuming...dinner...almost out of soda...

I know, right. So much to do, so little time. But I'm still really looking forward to tonight. It's either the last or net to last session of a three year campaign. Finally gonna make it to level 20. :)

And you're totally ahead of me on the laundry which I utterly forgot until you reminded me. :)

and I"m getting my hair done tonight, so less time. But it's too long, it's driving me nuts! And of course, the longer it gets, the more frizzy and the more wonky the curls get. :/

But I am fortunate, my game isn't until tomorrow night.

Huh. That's weird. I'm trying to grow mine out because every time I cut it short the curls and frizz get out of control. At least when it's long I have gravity on my side helping pull the curls out. :)

Depends on the bills. :)
Food, water, power, taxes, internet. The occasional clothes or shoes when the old stuff wears out. Medical and dental care are luxuries at this point. It sucks.

It involved "your", "pwned", "twice", "education", "fail" and a couple other words that would just be gravy on the poutine.

You know, I've seen that movie so many times that it stopped being funny. That was a couple of years ago, though, and on VHS. The only place you find VHS anymore is behind a beaded curtain...

OK, see, the first response that came to mind is backing up the break notion.

Mine never gets very long (because of the curls), but now it's to the point where if I sit down, sometimes I pin my hair with my back. And that's annoying. It also takes a lot of time. I have a LOT of hair.

When getting my hair up for prom, they got about half of it up, then the hairdressers stopped, looked at each other, and one said, "Now what. We've still got half a head of hair to do something with!"

When I got it dyed (because the natural red wasn't red enough, dammit, whatever you may think!), it was just over shoulder length and it took 3 regular dye batches...

Wow. Somebody who can outdo me in the hair department. I never thought I'd see the day. :)

Mine only takes two boxes of dye at that length (where it is now), is wavy rather than curly unless it's short when it decides that curls are where it's at, and can be put up quite nicely. For about five minutes. Then it starts spitting out hair pins like a machine gun. :)
Stylists always look at my hair and listen to my very modest request, such as, just take off a couple of inches and trim the bangs, and readily agree that it should be no problem. And then their eyes get this sort of horrified look when they start combing it out after the shampoo and realize that there are masses more of the stuff than they originally anticipated. :P
I'd hate to think of how much hair you must have for it to be that much more than mine. You poor girl.

My Girls are going to visit the in-laws in Canberra tomorrow and they will be away for the weekend.

I have to stay in Sydney and work at my stupid evil bank :-(

I will be able to buy spare ribs and make my self some salt and pepper ribs :-) (I am normally not allowed as they are bad for me)

And Daisy our cat will still be here to wake me up and demand her breakfast and a pat.

I might get some crap 80's and 90's movies out to watch as well. Mrs 8th Dwarf does not feel that Police Academy, Waynes World ,and Bill and Ted's excellent adventure are the stuff comic genius and I am subject to much harrumphing when I watch them... :-(

Stupid evil bank is redundant, isn't it? :)

Sorry to hear you can't make the trip, but watching cheesy movies helps.

Yeh it is kind of redundant but.... They cancelled our Christmas work party (The Bank Christmas party is very spectacular) because we were making too much money and the bank had put interest rates up just before Christmas and people were understandably upset with the bank... So the Bank punished the people that worked hard for it all year just to look good...

grumble over..... :-)

I love the imagery of spitting out hair pins! :D Mine doesn't quite do that...but I do remember it took me about 3 hours to pick the pins out of my hair that night...I think it came to 150 total...something liek that. It was ridiculous!

Mostly I just do my best to keep it conditioned, avoid blow drying as much as possible to cut down on frizzy unhappiness, and let it do what it wants to do. This requires keeping it long enough that it doesn't just stick straight out from my head, and keeping it short enough that I don't get a sore neck from the weight (I had problems with that when it was almost down to my waist).

I discovered Kerastase hair products three years ago, and they made a HUGE difference in my hair ( I think it's L'Oreal's premium brand). Also, salons that sell Kerastase have to pass certain tests before they can offer it, so when I find a salon that sells it, I've found a salon that has hairdressers taht can handle unruly curly hair. That's a huge deal to me. At a salon here in Houston I found some conditioning products by Shu Uemura - they all have anti-humectants that cut down on humidity induced frizz - and I've been very happy with them. :)

Heh. I wish it were just imagery. A few minutes after I put it up you start to hear random 'pings' as the pins hit walls and random pieces of furniture that might be in the way. :/

Thanks for the tip on the conditioners. I shall have to keep an eye out for those. I've been using a leave-in conditioner to keep the frizz tamed, but it doesn't do a very good job. I have to resort to a straightening iron to finish the job. :)
