There is a lot of arbitrary variation in local laws and law enforcement behavior.
In usually gun friendly Colorado, there is at least one town that requires firearms to be transported in the trunk of a motor vehicle. This presents a problem if you are in a truck, hatchback, or a jeep. Local law enforcement tends to just ignore the law during the rifle seasons for deer and elk, but if they don't like how someone looks or acts they have a huge amount of power to make someones life very difficult.
I think the NRA or GOA has a function on their sites where you can click on a state and get some information about their transport laws, but I'm having trouble finding it right now.
Here is an older NRA article with some examples.

In my experience most cops don't go out of their way to cause problems, but a lot of state and local laws give them a great deal of latitude in how they enforce some laws.
State chapters of the NRA and GOA can be good starting points for more information. They often have links to the relevant state government web pages.

** spoiler omitted **
If you actually use it and people appreciate it then it's probably great. If not, then you probably are.
LOL. I'm 38...so probably too old to be spending my time on it. I've never done it for any other campaign, but I've already incorporated some of the weather elements into the story.
What will most likely happen is that I'll use it for awhile, then get away from it and forget that I have this file saved with a year's worth of weather forecasts.
Good, you took it well. I was worried I might have come across a bit rude without wanting to.
I have fond memories of...
what NEVER to do as a DM.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww
Well of course you don't think spiders are your enemies. You're a drow. ;P
Mind you I happen to be quite fond of spiders myself. I don't bother them and they take care of pest control for me. It's an arrangement that works.

GOOD GODS!!!! I'm gone for, what, a little over 24 hours and you crazy kids put up over 1100 posts!!!!
Anyway....
Then they tell us, "well, we've decided that since there are no immediate concerns, we'll just monitor you overnight, and try to do the C-Section on Saturday.
Overnight, the missus had some swelling in her right leg, and they plan a test (basically a leg ultrasound) to see what it is. During the day, the doctor comes in and figures the swelling is clots, thinks it's just minor, surface clotting, but wants to do the test anyway to be sure. Still, they started her on blood thinners and decided to give those a few days to work. Now the C-section is back on for Wednesday.
By 5:30 pm, still no test, so her parents and I leave to let her eat in peace and go get our own dinner. By the time we're sitting down to eat, the missus texts me to say they came and did the test. We probably won't know the results of the test until tomorrow or Monday.
Charlie is doing well though. He sometimes kicks the heart beat monitor.

Yup. It's supposed to be gruesome and terrifying, it's a good start. I have to give that extra something to make it the stuff of bloody nightmares though. >:D
